I’m sorry Sandra, but I think you’re wrong on this one. Many people don’t know this, but the Vice-President is responsible for as much if not more than the President. Think of it like a corporation–you have your CEO (The President) and they have a list of officers under them. Typically, the COO(Cheif operating officer) is the person handling most of the needs of the business, while the CEO acts as simply executive over decesions regarding the ideals of his officers’, needs of the business, logistics, financses, etc. The reason we don’t see much of Mr. Cheney is because–well, he’s working. Don’t think that for one minute Cheney isn’t qualified to take over, as Sarah Palin may one day have to. He’s Owner of a multibillion dollar company-Haliburton and is able to run it while in office–he’s qualified.
I think what people are most upset about is the fact that Sarah Palin is obviously not ready–and know’s she’s not ready–but will put the lives of millions of people into her hands for the sake of power. If someone came to me (this would never happen but if…) and asked me to be manager for Coca-Cola, I’d be reluctant to take the offer. I know that even though I’ve been manager at AT&T for years and have done it well, Coca-Cola is a whole new ball game, a new industry with different responsibilities that I may or may not be ready for. But what I will not do is say “I’ll take it!” as soon as it’s offered. It’s not fair to the company I work for and it surely it’s fair for the company I plan to work for. I think that serious decisions deserve serious thought and not irrationality.

The man Obama hired was the head of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He’s the reason why the government wants to front $700 billion of our tax dollars to bail out greedy corporations and pay off their loans. He’s the reason why mom and pop stores are going out of business as I type this because they can’t get loans. He’s the reason why the mortgage companies are going out of business. You say that we as black people are voting because he is brown skinned which is not the case for most of us but to be realistic on that point, whites have been voting for other white men for hundreds of years, and we as black people have also supported an even allowed one to claim himself as black and now we are racist and voting for a black because he is black. You are defending Sarah Palin, and saying Obama stands for nothing but what you can name that Sarah Palin stands for. What definitive policy does she ascribe too. It can’t be the bridge to nowhere that she said no thanks to, but at first she fought for and even built a road to connect to. You can’t say it’s that she is against earmarks because Alaska receives more earmarks than any other state. You can’t say she believes in pro-life due to religion and moral beliefs and she and her daughter both got pregnant before marriage, so premarital sex isn’t against her morals, right.
I guess since she claims that living in Alaska which borders Canada and Russia give her foreign policy credentials, I guess that makes you have foreign policy credentials since you are from London but living and being a business owner here in the US? But, McCain’s campaign is full of lobbyist, hell, Rick Davis is still receiving dividends and has a paid position as a lobbyist of Fannie Mae, and you might want to learn about your candidate’s dirty dealing with Keating and the savings and loan crisis of the 90’s which is deja vu of our current economic crisis and crooked senators which McCain is dubbed one of the Keating 5. (Matter fact why don’t you do a post about the Keating 5) You accused us as Americans of voting on our skin which we voted for white skin since 1789, which will be a 120 years when Obama is inaugurated, but it seems evident you are endorsing to black US citizens (since you can’t vote) on vagina, and a dumb one at that. Sarah Palin is not representative of intelligent woman; just a crafty republican who uses her looks and cut throat tactics to get ahead. Obama can at least speak appropriately and present logical thoughts unlike Sarah Palin and George Bush, who is a laughing stock around the world with his “hispanically” speaking self. The man Obama hired was the head of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He’s the reason why the government wants to front $700 billion of our tax dollars to bail out greedy corporations and pay off their loans. The BANKS were the ones doing crooked sh!t! Not Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac! They just made bad financial decisions in providing liquidity to banks who knowingly funded mortgages to people who couldn’t afford them. THAT’S why $700 billion is about to be spent- ON THE BANK & FINANCIAL institutions!

1. Cheney IS running the country. Period. Has been since day one. Anyone who believes otherwise is a fool. He’s smart enough to let Bush take all the heat while he and his homies at Haliburton rape Iraq.
2. McCain is a hundred eleventy years old. It is a real possibility that Sarah Palin will wind up as Pres if they win. Then… forget ever trying to have an abortion. You will be able to buy all the guns you want though!!!
3. Why SHOULDN’T we vote for a man just because he looks like us? Enough people will vote against him for that reason and so if we all band together, maybe we can at least draw even with the racists and bigots in this country. For me, is the fact that Obama is black enough to vote for him? YES. Why? Because I never thought I would live to see a black president. I love the message he sends my children and the rest of the world. Can you imagine Michelle and those gorgeous kids traveling the world to be the representative family for the USA? It’s a beautiful thought. I happen to agree with his politics much more than McCain’s, which is a bonus.
When my mother was of legal age to vote, she also had the right to vote for the first time in history. She marched all over this damn country to have that right. I know she will shed tears the day Obama is elected, and my vote will hopefully help us see that day. Sandra, I believe you have been sheltered here. The UK and the US are totally different places, and NY and the ATL are much more open and accepting places in the US than most other areas. Try traveling more so you can feel what we have always felt, then talk to us about race in this country.
