Yesterday, I told you that rumors have been swirling for months about the break up of singer Usher and his pregnant wife Tameka Foster Raymond, with who he has a son.

A credible source close to Usher’s camp confirmed the rumors to SR.com.

But now, in light of additional information I’ve received, their “break up” is beginning to look more like an elaborate publicity stunt designed to recapture some of Usher’s past glory.

I’m writing this post today because I refuse to allow others to deceive my readers — or allow myself to get caught up in a publicity stunt, especially if that stunt benefits Usher.

In the past, Usher has been disrespectful to me, to his own mother (who I believe is the architect of this PR stunt) and to his own fans.

While my inside source remains adamant that Usher and Tameka have separated, this “break up” story has Jonetta Patton’s stamp of approval all over it.

Here are the facts: two of my loyal readers attended Tyler Perry’s brunch last Sunday at his Buckhead home. In separate emails to me yesterday, they wrote that they saw Usher and Tameka at the brunch together. They said Usher arrived late in the evening, and the couple left the brunch together in Usher’s charcoal grey Porsche.

According to a friend of Usher’s, he did not accompany Tameka to the Tyler Perry Studio ‘s grand opening extravaganza the night before — because he didn’t want to cross the WGA picket line outside.

But now it seems more likely that Usher didn’t attend the grand opening with Tameka because the media was there (the media was barred from covering Tyler’s brunch). Tameka walked the red carpet alone to spark rumors that the two were no longer together. But the ruse didn’t work because nobody cares about Usher any more.

He is past irrelevant.

Great care has been taken by Usher’s camp to keep photos of Usher and Tameka out of the media for months now. When Usher celebrates his 30th birthday at a private party this coming Tuesday in Atlanta, it’s doubtful that Tameka will be there.

In the meantime, Usher’s camp arranges for the paparazzi to show up whenever Usher is out & about with other women — who are most likely associates of his.

All of this points to one thing: a calculated PR move by Usher’s mother and manager, Jonetta Patton to coax Usher’s fans back into the fold by fooling them into believing Usher is single and available.

The arrogance of Usher and his mother never ceases to amaze me. Usher continuous to disrespect his fans by playing with their emotions. But had Usher listened to his fans a long time ago, he would not be in this current predicament.

He got himself caught up with an older scheming gold digger who succeeded in destroying his career for her own personal gains. And now that his career is in ruins, he wants those same fans to come back and support him. But the fans have spoken again and their apathy is reflected in his low CD sales.

Now I’m hearing that Usher can’t sell out smaller venues for his upcoming “Ladies Only” concert tour. Usher, who was once flying high selling out huge arenas, has finally been grounded.
