I saw the orginal uncut version before the special effects were added. Beyonce messed up a few dance steps thats why the effects were added to those particular spots in the video. I like the energy of the video and the dance moves are classic Bey. She can ‘does’ it like no other artist in the dance-singing-performance catagory.
I do think the lyrics to the song could have been better. She has a ring why is she telling other women. If he like it he would have put a ring on it. Then proceeds to display her ring at the end of the video. To me thats saying I am better than all of you because he put a ring on it. Just analyzing the video (marriage is over rated anyway)

this song is sooo get me bodied, even the same dance moves, and this is what everybody calls GREAT DANCING. SHE CAN NOT DANCE. ciara is a great dancer and britney spears, i don’t hate the song but i agree with peachizz she is going to have to come harder than that. to be the hottest.

She looks very pretty and kills the dance moves, but I’m not feeling the whole video just being dancing. It has nothing to do with the lyrics. Although it’s different for someone to do this type of video I just pictured it being different with it actually capturing the lyrics and story line.
@Candi Apple…I didn’t even think of it that way. Hmmm I see what you are saying, like she’s teasing those who don’t have a ring…but then again I know she is going to defend it and take the approach by saying she was trying to show women that you don’t have to settle…whatevs.
On the flip side. I’m glad the whole video is dancing because now i can try to learn the whole routine. Lol.
It doesn’t matter how horrible this song is the radio will keep forcing it down our throats until we’re convinced that it’s a great song and we like it, and her die hard fans will always support anything she puts out no matter how bad it sounds.
Neither the song nor the video is my cup of tea.

@terika83—– I too have a confession… I will be infront of my T.V. trying to learn those dance moves. The dancing is a mixture of era’s. She is J-Setting too.. It takes alot energy and skill to dance like that for an entire video and keep the attention of the audiance. I know she will kill it live as ususal.

I didnt like the song but I finally listened to the words and she is right! What I get from the song is if your man is trying to controll/monitor you he needs to check himself if he hadnt “put a ring on it” with that being said I think the song is okay now

You know what’s funny?…I was a die hard Bey fan when she first came out. Granted I was 17 and still in high school…Fast forward I am now 28yrs. old and I feel like she is still 17 mentally. She didn’t grow with me. I outgrew her in a major way. I’m married, college educated with a couple of kids and I look at her like “what are you thinking?’.Get up off the floor and keep ur legs close. I’ve grown tired of seeing her half naked. The songs she sing are made for 16yr. olds. She’s fighting for that young crowd that has gravitated toward Rihanna when she should just except that it’s not her time. Put some clothes and sing more substanitive songs… Put a ring on it? Is that the best you could think of?
