Pics of Jolie-Pitt Twins: $14M; Pics of Diddy’s First Daughter: $0
Yesterday, a photo of Sean Combs’ first-born daughter, Chance, zoomed around the Internet at breakneck speed.
Every urban blog had that photo up before a loyal reader finally emailed it to me around 2 PM (which proves that I never read certain blogs).
I posted the photo only after I confirmed (with one of Sarah’s closest friends) that the baby girl was indeed Chance.
That same friend later disagreed that Puffy was a derelict father to little Chance. She stated rhetorically, “you never know, maybe Sean and Chance spent the entire day together” — which is code for Sean and Chance spent the entire day together.
But even so, why give the impression that he doesn’t dote on his Atlanta daughter like he dotes on his twins? Where are the photos of Sean and Chance enjoying quality time together? Who cares what Kim Porter says? Are they married? What man would let a gold digging jump off tell him what to do with his children?
Anyway, I digress. One would assume that an exclusive photo of Sean’s first daughter would be worth something, right? Wrong.
FreddyO, who used to shoot for me until he got too big for SR.com and decided to strike out on his own and launch his own blog, reached out to me yesterday to ask if I wanted anymore pics of the little cutie. I declined, but I advised Fred to call TMZ.com, In Touch Weekly, and others to sell the photos rather than give them away for free.
He responded that he did that already, and he got no takers.
Surprised, I called a buddy over at People magazine, who basically told me they weren’t interested in the photos either.
To be fair, People told me that they would consider buying the photo if Diddy was in it. But since when has that stopped them from buying baby photos before? I bet they would buy a photo of Suri by herself in a heartbeat!
We know that the Sean Combs brand isn’t what it used to be (what with all his cooning on YouTube and all), but now it’s painfully obvious that Diddy is no longer A-list.

think about it. the only mags that were contacted were white mags. what would you expect. i bet jet will have this picture in their mag in the next two weeks.
While I don’t agree with the selling the kid photo’s I do agree with what you said about Kim. If he is paying her stank azz child support he should be able to have the girls know one another. I feel that is such a selfish move on Kim’s part bc she had those twins after Chance was born. Is she mad that those twins didn’t get her a wedding? Kim grow up and let those kids know each other. They all look alike anyways.
sandra you have some valid points. i am a tad confused tho b/c it always seemed to me that this little beauty was not so secret? diddy never denied her, her momma was on a couple of blogs about her, and kim has mentioned her.
so if she is not secret why is her photo creating such a furor? b/c she is a first born girl? i don’t get it…

How many black babies have you seen on any mag? JLo is not black, Nicole Ritchie was on Ok mag but her baby is light along with Jessica Alba (who does not know what she is). Halle refused. How would they pic and choose which baby of Diddy’s to put on the cover when he is never with the mom when the baby(ies) are born.

Well I just saw that Chance was meeting to be with him for his anniversary. So does that mean that other children were not there?
I remember on I want to work for Diddy when he got his Star in Hollywood he had the WHOLE family come out. I remeber thinking why isn’t his oldest daughter there when Al B sure son is there? The more I think about it the more it upsets me. I don’t blame Sean for not marrying Kim.

I was thinking the same thing about Al B Sure’s son too. I remember seeing an episode of Working for Diddy and he was there too. Didn’t he have an episode of Sweet Sixteen and wasn’t Diddy all over that episode?

But Diddy isn’t a big deal. Nobody in the main stream media cares about him, he doesn’t sell magazines. To me and to alot of other people, he’s a big joke so if I was a magazine editor, I wouldn’t waste a dime on him.

I don’t beleive that. Which mags Better Homes and Garden, Parentingf? She is not all that and he is black. Unless Essence or Ebony does something she will never be on People or In Touch.
Since when has Diddy alone sold out magazines? Think to yourself, when is the last time you bought a magazine because Diddy was on the cover. Even when he was Puff Daddy and Sean “Puffy” Combs and P.Diddy, no one cared. His face doesn’t sellout magazines, to me he never had that power.
And you should know that half of them mags don’t care about black people like that. Look who’s face is a majority in those type of mags. You’ll see a small number of black faces in those type of mags (even in the ads) and best believe its gonna be the same black faces you see all the time, Halle Berry, Beyonce, blah blah blah.

Also, Sandra as we have discussed before no one cares about Diddy…he is FAR from an A-Lister and if People, Us Weekly, or whoever really wanted a pic of Chance they would have stalked her out just like they did Halle’s baby and offered to pay for pics off the break!!!

No one is buying a picture of the kid without Diddy in it. That doesn’t even make sense. I mean, we’ve already seen her. So what cache would it give a media agency to publish a picture of the not-so secret daughter of Diddy?
Suri Cruise is on every blog known to mankind. Her pics aren’t even as valuable as the Jolie-Pitt kids. And, even those aren’t usually bought unless it’s the first pic ever taken.

I wondered why there haven’t been pics of Diddy with Chance but maybe that’s the way Sarah wants it. I recall reading the article:

In that interview Sarah talked about how she wasn’t trying to be in the spotlight. Then there was this article:

where Sandra said she ran into Sarah and Sarah said she didn’t want her baby all over the internet. So maybe that’s it and I really don’t blame her. Already people are making comparisons talking about which baby is “cuter”.
As far as magazines wanting to buy photos or not of Diddy’s kids , I am not all surprised that so-called white magazines didn’t. Diddy is only an “A-lister” to himself and maybe among a certain set. I’ve never thought of him as an “A-Lister”. ( The whole “lister” thing reeks of high school to me.) Mainstream only paid attention when he was with J-Lo.
AND if Kim Porter’s egg had not spilt into two babies, Essence and Jet wouldn’t even have taken test shots of her.
How could anyone NOT recognize that as his daughter, she looks just like the twins minus the chinky eyes.
But Sandra I agree with you…almost everyone knows about Chance. Idk why Diddy feels like he can’t be seen in public with her, like he would be suprising someone and you’re right who cares what Kim has to say? Obviously he doesn’t because he has cheated on her and since they aren’t together he can show little Chance some love.

I knew she was adopted I guess I was just looking at the color of her biological dad. I think they showed a pic of him on E.

Nicole Richie’s father is black and Mexican. Her dad is Peter Escovedo, who is the brother of Sheila E. WHen I was growing up, I had no idea Sheila E was not black.

This child is absolutely precious. Diddy should not care what Kim thinks. He should treat all of his kids the same no matter who their mom is. Little Chance probably doesn’t even have a bond with him, then again what do I know? He probably has as much of a bond with her as he does with his other kids. It would be nice to see a family photo of him with ALL of them, including Chance.
Dang, just when you start to lay off on Kim these pics pop up and you are slamming her once again. Oh well, I’m sure she doesn’t care.
Anyway, Chance is not Suri. The kids that are shoved down our throats by these mags have two famous parents who are constantly in the limelight. Your interveiw with Sarah was the big story. There’s no more mileage to be had out of this, especially now that we have seen Miss Chance. She’s a cutie and that’s that. I’m not even interested in it anymore and I’m black.

Basically they were all friends and Lionel not sure how it happened but had been taking care of her, he and his wife adopted her. I believe she was under 5 when she got adopted but had been in their care for a couple yrs. Her parents were both in the band but felt she needed a stable life. They really did not abandon her but more so gave her what they knew that could never provide. Plus I think they were no longer together. Ppl don’t realize that Nicole plays dumb. She is instumental in playing the Piano to the “String Instruments”. I knew that she would make a great monther because she is too close to her family especially her younger siblings from her dads 2nd marriage. I think those kids are under 11. Nicole got in trouble by hanging with the wrong crowd. I think she knows her roots but was rebelling and just being a brat.
I think if Diddy was photgraphed carrying the child, these mags would be more interested. This is the first baby pic of this alleged child. So it would be more appealing if Diddy was holding her.
Case in point, Nobody had seen Halle’s baby, so when the mags first printed the pics, it was a pic with Halle, holding the baby – to prove that was indeed her baby, and not some random kid!
