As part of T.I.’s deal with the feds, he taped a public service announcement to encourage Atlanta residents to call police when they see crime happening.

T.I. will surely face resistance from the hard heads within the hip hop community who shrink from snitching. But kudos to T.I. for defying the ignorance and stepping up to help reclaim our community.

Yesterday, T.I. was spotted out & about in West Hollywood with his federal monitor (behind him), and rapper C Rod (is he still rapping?) on the right. T.I. is currently filming the movie Bone Deep out in LA where he has a home.

The Grand Hustle Films production hits theaters in January 2010.

I wish someone would’ve “snitched” when my baby cousin got shot in the head, weeks before he was heading to college. He wasn’t involved in any hoodrat ish and these idiots in boston watched a child leave this world but won’t say anything in the name of “not snitching.”

It shouldn’t have taken TI being arrested to send the right message, but I’m glad he did.

Umm houstar the whole stop snitching thing might have started bcos of dealers, but many dealers are the murderer’s, rapists and child killers. It’s stupid and its only goal is to impede criminal investigations, no criminal should be granted immunity be the citizens they commit the crimes against.

I’m a “snitch” and proud of it too. If you engage in criminal activity in my presence or with my knowledge I’m sending a statement to your local police.

Can someone help me out with this? Cause maybe i’m taking my definition from oldhead standards, but I always thought snitchin’ was when someone that was associated with a crime gives up info to save their ass.

Now, I find a lot of people these days doesn’t know the true meaning of being a rat is. They think giving any information to the law is snitching regadless if you aren’t involved in the crime. Criminals are criminals. Point blank period. I am not here to argue about what make a person become a criminal because each case is unique. At no point did I say that i was against snitching you didnt read my post carefully enough. All I said is that the stop snitching movement was aimed at stopping the snitching on dealers not violent criminals. There are violent criminals across all walks of path. For every dealer you “snitch” on there are 10 waiting to take his/her place, this will never change. Why dont you for a minute stop blaming a persons actions on drugs and start blaming it on the person. I understand what your saying (no sarcasm, I really do.), but when you put children in the situation, then I have a problem with it. If your dealing on my block and my kids (I don’t have any) are out side, I don’t want them to see that or associate with the drug dealers. So would I call the cops, HELL YES.

As far as adult drug addicts, I believe addiction is a disease but if you don’t want help then do you. Just don’t do it or buy in front of children.

And children reside on every block, in every town, city, and state!

Houstar, drug dealers, no matter how fast they multiply are murders by the very nature of their self chosen profession.

You can blame a person’s actions on drugs actually because in many cases the drugs alter the mind and impair judgement. But its myopic to say (and believe) that everydrug user is weak minded or voluntarily chose to be an addict; though I know why many people think this way.

Stop snitching is an azz backwards campaign regardless of its intention.
