Video Premiere: Beyonce – Halo

On the other hand, I like this song by Beyonce/ Sasha Fierce and I’m feeling that other song, “Hello”. Loyal reader Iyonah turned me onto to that one (it’s on her Myspace page).
Listening to Beyonce sing is like eating a five course meal and still feeling hungry. Her oversinging is annoying and distracting.
Twenty years from now that’s what she’ll be remembered for: oversinging and writhing around on the stage like she’s having seizures.

I don’t like this song, nor do I like the video despite fine a$$ Mike Ealy being in it. I know she had to keep chanting, “I love my husband, I love my husband, I love my husband…” the whole time she had Mike all up on her. I don’t know, the song is too pop for my taste. Sounds like a Rihanna song. The video is just blah.

iyonah i just don’t like either song. i’m trying , but i get nothing . the videos the videos usually help , but still nothing( that’s actually how i started liking crazy in love. the video was hot). i talk alot of crap about her, but i do try to give her songs a chance.

Oh … that’s to bad, I love her voice on HALO. By my fav is Scared of Lonely, Smash Into You (really LOVE this one) and Uummmm … Ave St Maria – actually all of the Bey songs. I can’t wait till she is in concert.

I don’t care for this song or her cd. I have never been that impressed with Bs singing talents. She has always been overated in that dept. to me. I like her DC material and her 1st solo cd after that she lost me for the most part. She is a GREAT oeverall entertainer(dont want the stans to attack me).
I agree with Bird (I think) that this song is way to pop and Leonna Lewis should have found time to record it and im not a fan of hers either but it fits her betta IMO. The best thing about the video was M Ealy looking very tasty!!!

I love Halo it’s all about love the video is beautiful and Diva is all about a DIVA.
I like how when ever Beyonce comes out with something she has to go through major surgery before everyone finds the cure.
She had a triple by-pass when her new CD came out, a double when SL and IIWAB and now we are getting the results of the quadruple one. And she is still selling!!! Go Beyonce; Go!!!!!!!!!
I gotta find somewhere to listen to the whole CD because so far I only like “If I Were a Boy” and B ALWAYS has a banger that I fall in love with (that no one else likes, like Deja Vu). I just think I haven’t heard it from this CD yet. Still based on what I have heard I don’t like enough of the songs that have been released to give her my hard earned cash, but I would definately go see her show because she’s had plenty of songs throughout her career that I was feeling.

Looks like I’m going to break down & download the cd… I have loved her previous cd’s to the point I’ve turned my son into a stan, makes me sick to the point of embarrassment.
bird i have listened to both cds and i haven’t find not one song that i like. i usually find at least one.

michael ealy was kinda a weird match for her…but idk…it’s ok….i like that they kept it simple….it fit the song…usually she intrigues us with dance moves but the simple route on this was good. I think they could have told a lil more of his story though like I guess what makes her feel that way about him like him at work showing us his personality or something. But it was cool…

If Beyonce wants to be considered an Icon she has to do better than this. If it were not for M.E. I would have stopped watching long ago.
The album is not what it should be, First I think she could have put all songs on one CD, and Second she is trying to hard to be different instead of being herself.
I like the song better after seeing the video. And it helps to see Michael Ealy’s sexy face up in there ;P
