Throwback Fridays: Tiny on V-103’s Ryan Cameron Show (2006)
A loyal reader asked me to repost the 2006 interview between Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and V-103’s Ryan Cameron.
At the time, Tiny and T.I. had separated due to T.I.’s creeping with reality TV contestant Hoopz. When I originally posted this interview I assumed this was just another publicity stunt.
In fact I didn’t know until earlier this year that they really were separated back then. Now that I listen to the audio clips with fresh ears, I can hear the hurt and the pain in Tiny’s voice.

i have nothing against tiny, but i no longer feel sorry for her. it’s sad that she went through this , but she accepts his behavior everytime she takes him backs.

Wow, I can’t believe you brought this back up. I felt so bad for Tiny at the time. T.I. was not creeping with Hoopz, he was straight up out in the open with her. Flaunting her big time. If him and Tiny were so seperated why did she try to get at Hoopz? And wasn’t she preggers with the baby she lost at the time?
Yeah, you wrong for reopening this wound Sandra. Especially since the man still hasn’t blessed her with his last name yet. She is Kim Porter Jr. and a fine young thang will come along again and jack her man even after she faithfully does a bid with him.

Yes I agree with Bird, this is an old wound and this girl lost her baby due to this unnecessary stress and foolishness.

I like Hoops and I think she is really pretty. But, did she actually believe that she was gonna TAKE T.I. from Tiny? I don’t know about ya’ll but I knew that wasn’t gonna happen. It was only a matter of time before he went back to the baby momma!

Hello All. First of all, Lord have mercy on our young black women who think their big, round arzes are gonna make them a star! Back in the day, women didn’t try to pronounce their posteriors like they do now. (Has the “Big Bootie” syndrome been exemplified by the rise of hip-hop/rap music and videos?)I live in DC and I often notice young girls in weather way below freezing and they’ll have on short, cropped jackets just to show their booties, literally freezing their behinds off just to show off their butts. And the men, they don’t make it any easier. One of my co-worker’s daughter was recently complaining about how she can walk up to a group of unknown black men and they won’t even speak to her until she walks past and they see her round butt. Then the whole pack is running after her. Has our entire race gone mad? Why so much emphasis on the black butt? I wonder, if I were young again with a big ole round, juicy butt would I too have this mentally? Hmmmmmmmm NOT!!! And Hoopz, for Christ sake, cover your arse! If you ever have children, how will you explain this? I’m just saying, for what it’s worth. Peace.
If a damn man decides he wants his cake and eat it too and the “wifey” (playing the role of a wife) decides as long as she can spend money on LV and other shyt just to keep the lifestyle, then that’s her dumb azz, and you get what you deserve. If he flaunts his woman on the side and you go back, hats off to you fool!
I’ll be damned If I let a man treat me like scrap meat you give to a dog. Tiny likes the lifestyle because she hasn’t done anything else besides slide babies in and out of her azz. When will these young girls learn that having a man’s baby didn’t work for our grandmas and great great grandma and that mess don’t work today.

Tiny sounded completely wounded and confused at the time. I hope that they have moved past this and that they are happy today.
We can pass judgement all day long about their marriage situtation (or lack thereof)but after all is said and done, they do have a family and the kids should see mom and dad be happy and respectful to each other.
As the old saying goes if you like it I love it. Why do we try to put water onto a sponge that is not ready to soak it up. Until Tiny is ready to move on she never will. This is a never ending story.

All I want to know is what happened to her dreams of wanting to sing and act? Maybe there’s some truth to what people say about TI, that he controls Tiny and doesn’t want her to have anything to do with the industry! I don’t want to hear about her having those kids either because to many women have children and a career and it’s never stopped her from following TI around the world while he pursues his career!
