Man Kills Wife and 5 Children After Losing His Job
Residents of a Los Angeles suburb are grieving the deaths of 6 people who died yesterday at the hands of a deranged man who shot them before turning the gun on himself.
Ervin Antonio Lupoe of Wilmington, killed his family and committed suicide after he and his wife lost their jobs at Kaiser Permanente.
Before he died — and probably after killing his entire family — Lupoe faxed a rambling letter to a local TV station claiming his wife suggested he murder her and their children before turning the gun on himself so the children wouldn’t have to live in poverty as a result of his unemployment.
According to the station, KABC-TV, Mr Lupoe wrote: “Why leave the children to a stranger?” (LINK)
Dead are his wife Ana and their children – 8-year-old Brittney, 5-year-old twin girls Jaszmin and Jassely and two-year-old twin boys Benjamin and Christian.
Unfortunately, that stimulus package that Congress is voting on today doesn’t include much in the way of immediate relief for families like the Lupoes who are faced with homelessness. Barack Obama’s stimulus package contains millions of dollars for ACORN, the arts and so-called “green” projects that supposedly will create jobs, but no one has explained just how those jobs will be created.
In the meantime, the Lupoe family is dead. The residents in their neighborhood are grieving, city officials are wringing their hands and blaming the economy — but at least those abortion groups overseas got their money from Obama.

i read this yesterday…..how selfish!! they were blessed with 2 sets of twins…why not just take your own life if that’s how you feel? this story gets me sad and pissed off every time i read it.
People continue to amaze me on a daily basis – I dont know their situation at all quite frankly but deciding that they are ALL out of options(as in NO OPTIONS AT ALL) as parents so they would rather kill their babies and themselves? – a m***af**king damn shame.
I wish they would have just sought their other family members to help them.

Sandra…this is a horrible tragedy of a crime committed by someone who was obviously mentally ill! Obama has absolutely nothing to do with this situation; you’re just as much to blame as he is for this senseless act of violence! I’m not sure if you realize this, but it was Bush who put this country in this situation and although I dislike Bush, this tragedy can’t be blamed on him either! There are families all across this country that have lost their jobs, homes, etc.; resorting to murdering your entire family isn’t a consequence of a bad economy…it’s a consequence of mental illness!! There is always another option…the state of our economy isn’t permanent, but DEATH is! I pray for those children, hopefully they didn’t suffer!!
Lastly, I hope all of your news posts won’t be associated with Obama…it’s getting CORNY and just plain BORING!!

The economy is bad, and millions across the country find themselves in the same situation, but do not do these type of things. The only person to blame in this is the person who pulled the trigger.

Sandra, I think it’s damn dirty for you to try to blame our PRESIDENT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA for this tragedy. The couple didn’t even lose their jobs because of cutbacks. Clearly, when people do things like this, it’s a deeper rooted issue.

also, all bills must start in congress, president obama cannot create a stimulus package he has to give his intentions to a member of congress on the budget committee and they have to present it to the committee and get it past before it comes to the house or senate floor then vote on and then sent to a committee where both sides hammer out one bill that will past the whole congress.

Okay, Sandra you are tripping. After learning about this yesterday, I did some research and found that the husband getting fired had nothing to do with what is going on with the economy. The wife was fired last week due, to some undisclosed reason and the husband was too. This was a selfish act that one man is responsible for. Congress can not be blamed for everything.

The man has not been in office even for a month…he’s not a miracle worker and he did not inherit a squeaky clean country. So comparisons to Bush are pre-mature. People should just run for office if they feel they can do a better job…its just that simple!

the stimulus package come out of congress and has very little to do with president obama congress vote on the stimulus package that will help the country. if you dont like the stimulus package ask you congress person to add what he thinks is right because they are the ones who write the package.

Thank for turning a horribly tragic story into straight up comedy. Did you say that Barack who has been in office for a week is the reason for these deaths? That woman married a nut. That’s the only reason. If they just got laid off then they should not have been homeless. Both could have gotten unemployment and childcare for all those babies had to be at least $500 a week. That’s money they could have saved while job hunting. Based on what you posted there was no reason for this man to do this other than that he was crazy. I know his coworkers are saying, “I’m glad it wasn’t us.”

The local news here made a comment that both were fired from Kaiser due to some type of fraudulant circumstances surrounding the couple. Not because of the economy.
This is so sad what a beautiful family. This act was so selfish. The children weren’t given any option. We don’t want to live so we don’t want anyone else raising our children. I can’t imagine what those children went through while they’re parents committed these crimes against them. I’m also with PAHairston you also have to feel for the policemen that found there bodies I know that’s not something I’d get over.
