Earlier I posted an audio snippet from a concert by the legendary Etta James during which she voiced her displeasure about Beyonce singing her classic hit “At Last” at Barack Obama’s inauguration.
Miss James obviously didn’t vote for Obama and she was very displeased that Beyonce chose her song to sing during the Obama’s first dance.
“She gon’ get her ass whupped,” declared the feisty Miss Etta as the mostly white audience roared its approval.
Some of you Bey Stans said the audio was a fake, but a loyal reader sent me proof that Etta James and her accompanying band The Roots did in fact perform at the Paramount in Seattle, Washington on January 28, 2009.
According to the music critic for the Seattlepi.com website, Miss Etta did utter the verbal tirade at Beyonce.
This proves that you Beyonce Stans were wrong (as usual) about the voice on the audio not belonging to Miss Etta.
