Did Blogs Cause Chris Brown To Go Rambo On Rihanna?

Anyone who reads the blogs knows that you can count on reading multiple versions (mostly BS) of a big story involving high profile celebs.

Such is the case with the over-sensationalized Crhianna domestic abuse incident that blew up in LA over the weekend.

There are countless theories of what bloggers think might have happened to set Chris Brown off and cause him to bite, kick and punch Rihanna into submission early Sunday morning.

The dumbest of all the theories being floated about is that bloggers themselves may have set into motion the violent series of events that led to the breakup of pop/R&B’s power couple.

Word is the trouble started when Rihanna accused Brown of cheating on her. The arguing reportedly started on Friday and continued throughout the weekend.

The ridiculous part in all this is that several bloggers are being blamed for planting the seed of doubt in Rihanna’s young and impressionable mind. Supposedly, she checks the blogs and believes wholeheartedly everything she reads.

Anyway, I know I am not one of those bloggers. Everything I write on my blog is true to the best of my knowledge. And if it turns out to be false, I will write a retraction.

But I find it interesting that other bloggers rarely retract their misinformation.

Thankfully, new reports state that Rihanna is cooperating with police officers after reportedly being viciously beat up by her (hopefully) soon-to-be ex boyfriend Chris Brown.

A police source confirmed that Rihanna is providing “ongoing” cooperation with detectives who are busy compiling a domestic violence case against douchebag Brown.

An industry insider who knows the pair said, “Everybody’s sick about it. She’s so beautiful and nice. How do you hit her?”

The pair got into a heated argument very early Sunday morning in the ritzy Hancock Park neighborhood in Los Angeles. That’s when a witness spotted the altercation and called police. That witness will be key to the case.

Another neighbor who lives on the same block said, “The screaming woke up my neighbors, but I slept through it. My son saw them tow away the silver Lamborghini. I hope she’s okay. It’s a shame.”

As for the events leading up to that awful night, one friend said, “They looked lovey-dovey, laughing and hugging, whispering in each other’s ears.”

However, it’s said many noticed Brown carefully watching Rihanna dancing with other guys at the party Saturday night. “Both of them are young and prone to jealousy,” says a source.

Yea, but jealousy should never lead to violence!

Both of them are babies. I feel bad for both because I know they are both in pain. This issue should be left alone, and leave them to their families and lawyers to work out. Just leave it alone.

The only person that caused Chris to hit her is Chris!!!! He alone holds the responsibilities for his actions. We should not be finding others to blame for his actions, nobody put a gun to his head and made him kick her ass.He always had the option to walk away if she was asking crazy questions.

I have questioned men in the past about a variety of things, sometimes not so respectfully and nobody ever hauled off and slapped me. Maybe that had to do with the rumor that someone had slapped my sister and all of us (sisters, brother and mama and her whipping cane too) gave him a beating that he probably still remembers today; but in any case, not a one ever touched me.

As far as the bloggers role in this situation is concerned (and then I better get back to work), I personally believe that things changed in this relationship with all the coverage of Rihanna’s cold sore–Chris could not take the pressure of the media scrutinizing their personal business. Plus it caused Rihanna to lose her shine in his eyes so he was no longer interested.

If Rihanna had genital herpes and so no one knew about it, the revelation probably would not have had the same effect.

But when the media saw that sore on her lip, and commenced with all the clowing that took place afterward about Chris catching it from Rihanna during oral sex, whether she has genital herpes or not, etc., I believe that was too much for Chris. He’s a kid.

Also, for young men so much of who they’re dating is about their ego and how other men view the catch they have. Once the world knew that Rihanna had herpes and all the wild speculation, Rihanna became devalued to him–he no longer got points for having pulled the baddest chick in the game any more; instead she became damaged goods in his eyes that subjected him to ridicule.

I believe that’s what caused him to lose interest in her and then start blatantly cheating, leading to the spiral of events we are witnessing now.

That’s my .02. I believe the intense media attention on this case has absolutely contributed to its ugly demise, absolutely.

***plus the fact that he could, in fact, have caught it from her at any time..especially during oral..combined with his young age, not being ready to commit that deeply to anyone, AND THIS BEING REPORTED HEAVILY IN THE MEDIA, that’s what I think caused their relationship to quickly unravel before they were both ready to let it go, and lead to the situation we’re viewing today. February 10, 2009. A friend of Chris Brown reached out to M.edia.Fake.Out.com, offering us this explanation of what happened on Saturday night:

[Rihanna is] outrageously jealous and insecure. So [Chris] would get into arguments and fights with her. He never hit her once but she’d [allegedly] smack him, bite him and scratch him and once he even got hit in the balls kinda’ hard. So [she] got into the habit of hitting him because to her it was fine since he never hit her back.

[On Saturday night, Chris] finally told her to shut the f*ck up and it’s over. So she socked the shit out of him while he was driving and kept on hitting him until he crashed into a parked car.

[Chris] then got out of the car and tried to pull her out and got hit in the face some more numerous times. Scratched up and everything.

Simply because he was done with all of the drama. Anyway when she smacked him this last time he smacked her back. So he [left Rihanna there alone].

Hurt from banging her face on the windshield/dashboard from the car accident [somebody] then called the cops and [Rihanna] told them that [Chris] whipped her ass.

[Later the next day, Chris] wanted to go get his things from her apt to go to a hotel and saw a million cop cars there.

So he left and when he sent us to retrieve his stuff, this girl didn’t want to let us get his 6 bags of stuff. She said tell him to come get it himself … Tell him to answer his phone and that I’m sorry we can work this out. To which I said, hell no my friend isn’t coming anywhere near here. It’s too late for all of that. He just wants his luggage and you guys need never to see each other anymore….

Sh*t happens was definitely in effect and it’s crazy how everyone can jump on a woman’s side and not know what happened. Hind sight is 20/20 and I told [him that] he should’ve gotten out of the car and called the cops on her a*s when it was just him with scratches and shit.

This seems like a very interesting story. Of course we have absolutely no way to know whether it’s true or just damage control.

It does get a little tricky however. You’ll recall that initially both Rihanna and Chris’ people were claiming that Rihanna was injured in a “traffic accident.” Also, according to TMZ, their Lamborghini was towed from the scene of the alleged assault in Hancock Park to a nearby police impound lot. Could the car have been damaged???

@mjoylaw…I agree with you…of course we don’t know the full truth, but it seems that the media blowing up her cold sore did de-value her in his eyes. That’s when we stopped seeing them together and then now this. It prob. was a few reasons but I think that def. did not help the situation.

I don’t think he needs to go to jail. I do think he needs some serious and I mean serious counseling. Apparently he’s been through alot in his child hood with his mom being abused by his step dad. In a lot of cases an adult is the product of their childhood. This is a perfect example of that. Rihanna needs counseling too. Hopefully this will not be a cycle for her, getting involved with abusive men. Beauty does not equate to high self esteem. Very tragic indeed. I wish them both well.
