Patrick Swayze’s photos of the cover of The National Enquirer — Patrick Swayze: The End — don’t look too encouraging to his many fans.
The beloved actor’s face appears gaunt and skeletal, and he’s lost all his hair.
The actor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2008 and has been admirably upbeat while fighting a hard battle against the disease.
In January, he was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and had to miss his Television Critics Association appearance to discuss his new show, “The Beast.”
His quote “I’m proud of the way I fought it” also seems to indicate that the end may be near.
We pray that he can beat this.
My prayers go out to him and his family..
I HATE cancer. It is a merciless killer. Hate it. God bless Patrick and his family in this very difficult time.
God Bless him … pray .. pray
My brother in law was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and he passed away within a year of his diagnosis. It’s probably the most aggresive of all cancers. He was 50.

I’m sorry to hear that. Any of those abdominal/gut cancers are deadly. Stomach cancer killed Lil Joe, the star of Bonanza shortly after he was diagnosed.
That is so sad. My great grandmother was diagnosed with bladder cancer a couple of years ago and it just ate her up. I will be praying for him.
Wow! So sorry to see him in this condition. My dad died of lung cancer a few years back. So sorry to hear this.
Sam Wheat.
My prayers to Patrick and his family.
OT: Whats up with that other headline “fistfight on overturned boat” Am I the only one wondering if the lone survivor needs to take a lie detector test?
@lemondrop
I noticed that too. Wish we could’ve got a story on that as well.
My prayers to anyone who has/is going through coping with a love one having cancer.
Scorpio is right, I’ve worked in an Oncology clinic and an infusion center (where patients usually get chemo, but other meds also) and I have seen some disturbing images and some disturbing deaths. THe most aggressive cancer is definately Pancreatic. However heart cancer….Im sure you know without me saying will take you out in a matter of months. Ovarian cancer is another deadly kind, infact all cancer is pretty bad. I have only seen people survive in Remission for a few months or years and then they are gone. Breast cancer can be cured. Brain cancer has a long remission period after being removed or killed but it shows up in another area of the body eventually. When they said Patrick had pancreatic, I knew there was nothing he could do to but PRAY and get his house in order.
dag….i am sooooooo late on this. i had no idea that patrick swayze was sick. this is so, so sad.
