Gospel Star BeBe Winans Arrested for Assault
Here’s another celebrity-related domestic abuse case in the news. Am I the only one who thought BeBe was How U Doin?

Gospel singer BeBe Winans was booked yesterday on a domestic assault rap for allegedly pushing his ex-wife to the ground during an argument last month. According to a court filing, a copy of which you’ll find below, Winans, 46, and his former spouse got into a “verbal altercation” on February 13 about “custody issues dealing with their children.” At the time, Winans was at his ex-wife Debra’s Nashville home, where he had driven to pick up his children. “The victim was telling the defendant of issues with the children when he became irate. The defendant then pushed the victim to the ground.” Winans, pictured in the mug shot at right, was arrested yesterday on a misdemeanor domestic assault charge. He was briefly held at the Davidson County jail before posting $1000 bond. Winans, best known for albums recorded with his sister CeCe, has won four Grammy awards.

Why are people being so suprised about domestic violence now. It’s been around for years. All these folks up in the Chrianna situation. What are you doing about KeKe getting knocked the hell out of everynight by Ray Ray who happens to live right next door to you

really?! i find ur statement interesting…this blog has been going on and on and on and on and on and on about how a man not suppose to put his hands on a chick in no shape form or fashion since this Rihanna mess…i guess it depends on who’s doing the pushin’ shovin’ hittin’…Bebe still put his “hands” on this chick but i don’t see nobody up in arms about that…go ‘head, get at me i can take it!!!! folks with a different outlook on this seem to get blasted on this blog but i’m an ole head, so it’s all good! LOL
I love the kids…but it seems his son might follow in his footsteps. (how u doing)

That has always been my take on the situation and I remember quoting Chris from his special when the Chrianna mess first occured. IF a woman is coming at you swinging muff her azz hard as hell or shake the chit out of her but that’s don’t whip her azz..JMO
Chris Brown is shown no MERCY in the court of public opinion. I am one of those who is interested in how he will recover personally and otherwise. (Which I think he will disapper for a while and re-ermerge as an ACTOR….OK I digress)
Oparah, Tyra and other celebs haven spoken publicly on this man. I say that to say I would expect Brother Winans to have to suffer the same fate. Because many of us have said, “It doesn’t matter, abuse is abuse, a hit is a hit.”

Watch out now, on the news here (Chicago) a woman was arrested for domestic violence for beating her husband (a suburban politician)with a play guitar and finding out he was with some hookers.

Pushing someone down and punching the shyt outta someone repeatedly are two different things. Had Chris just pushed her hard as hell, there would be no media circus, lost endorsements, awards etc.

You aint neva lied about that. Queen Pen husband is on the run for beating her arse. I think she even wrote a book about it. & that was some real domestic violence. Aint nobody said a word about that.
Isc I forgot all about Queen pens situation yes she did write a book and nobody cared then or now but want to nail chris to cross with Jesus lawd have mercy I am praying he can redeem himself if he acts a monkey again he won’t ever get another chance

The issue with the Queen Pen/hubby domestic violence is that even though she had a career at one point and time so urban blogs report on her, she isn’t relevant enough in some to the media for her story to be told. This is the same situation for a lot of young ladies in the same situation as her who have never been in the spotlight at all. We never hear their stories.
let’s see if BeBe Winans story hits CNN, Oprah, US Weekly, E Online hell my local news. It probably won’t.
