Chris Brown Arrives At Court; Faces Arraignment On Two Felonies
UPDATE: 7:00 p.m.
The judge’s exact words to Brown were, “You are not to annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone.” The judge sounds like she means business.
We hope she’s a domestic violence advocate for women who suffer abuse at the hands of violent offenders like Chris Brown. We hope she puts him under the jail house.
UPDATE:
The arraignment is over. It was very brief. Brown was just ordered not to harass Rihanna even though his attorney told the judge that Rihanna didn’t request such a protective order. His next court date is April 6th.
Correction: this wasn’t Chris Brown arriving to court. It was his brother Nick. Thanks Kenya!
Woman beater Chris Brown showed up at the L.A. County courthouse at 6:30 p.m. dressed conservatively in grey jacket and black slacks with a white shirt. Brown is charged with felony domestic assault and making threats. Photographers and cameramen pushed and shoved and cursed each other as Brown made his way into the courthouse.
He was accompanied by his attorney Mark Garragos was able to delay the hearing today from this morning to 3:30 p.m. west coast time.
Domestic protesters also showed up outside the L.A. County courthouse where the media horde had assembled since early this morning.

Sandra what happened while they were in court. My 70 year old father saw fit to call me and ramble on about a bonus while I was trying to watch the darn live feed…
Well noone can say the charges don’t fit the crime, because after seeing how he knuckled up that girl and then reading the police report about what happened that night in the car, noone can say he “got cheated”. Chris Brown earned everything he got today. Not hating on the boy, (and I mean boy literally) but he needs to man up and own up to what he did, get help and move the hell on. This whole affair is so sad because this is such a private affair but they both are young and can learn from this, too bad though it will be in a court of public opinion.

My bad. I was updating this post when you wrote your comment. In the courtroom he acted like a scared b*tch. You could barely hear him and his voice was trembling when he answered the judge. I don’t think he expected his judge to be a black female.
The judge told him she was issuing a protective order and his attorney was quick to say Rihanna didn’t ask for one. His behavior in court was in stark contrast to his juvenile antics when he was down in Florida riding jet skis and flexing his muscles.
@Sandra he did not sound scared his voice did not shake/crack. Glad he has to face the music but I am still team BOTH. That is subject to change if he doesnt learn his lesson and get help after this incident.

Brown, who stood emotionless in court, spoke only 4 words to the judge — “yes,” “yes,” and “yes ma’am.”
The judge admonished Brown in open court, saying “You are not to annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone.”
The judge asked Mark Geragos if there was a “no-contact order” in place, to which Geragos replied, “Miss Fenty [Rihanna] does not request such an order.”

Rhianna didn’t want to press charges that night but at that point it’s too late, the state can and will press charges despite the victim’s claim. We live in a post OJ/Nicole world where domestic violence charges are no longer at the will of the victim to do as she/he pleases in terms of dropping or pressing charges. Plus, he made terroristic threats towards her as well. So yes, the judge can oppose a protective order without the consent of the victim.

That’s TMZ saying that about a picture that they haven’t even seen. So you can take what they say with a grain of salt. They said the same thing about the picture they paid $62,000 for. And we all could see that her injuries in the photo weren’t nearly as bad as they described it. They even admitted that much today on their site. Tsk tsk.

She didn’t go back for pics the next day. Remember she was in the hospital for 24 hours so I’m sure the police went to her hospital room to take additional pictures. By then her face would have been free of blood so I’m sure those pictures are not as bad as TMZ is hyping them. Remember this is the same TMZ that said the 1st pics were “horrific” LOL!

To the medically trained eye her injuries were nowhere near horrific. Also, you have to remember that the quality of the photo was very poor. Even the color was off. So it would be more difficult for a lay person like yourself to asses her injuries.

TMZ got there report from the police who say thats what RiRi told them but that seems like alot to be taken place while driving. Either way we know he beat her that night and he was dead wrong for that.
indesign that was a police report so if anything blame the discrepancy on either the offiver or Rhianna. Secondly believe it or not there are women who actually like to be roughed up because they feel that shows the man really loves them.
If people don’t believe me my niece used to be one of those people. She liked for a man to choke her around and slap her up because it made her feel like he loved her and the sex afterwards was amazing according to her. So maybe she didn’t flee because she didn’t think it would go as far as it did.
She did say that each altercation was getting worse and worse so maybe she just didn’t expect him to go all out and tell her he was going to kill her and such. I remember an altercation I had with a boyfriend back in my chicken head days where he was driving and we got into an argument. I started slapping the hell out of him and he started swatting me, cursing me out, and driving swerving all over the road at the same time. It is feasible trust me.

Rihanna was exhibiting the classic symptoms of battered woman syndrome. That’s why she stayed in the car. In her mind she felt like she deserved the abuse because she did something to trigger the abuse against her. She hates herself and she doesn’t think she deserves better. That’s why she went back to him. She fully expects to get beat down again and she’s alright with that.

@Daisy, I dont think its about taking sides because this situation dont change a thing in either one of our day to day lives, they are both adults and what happened is up to them. i am just saying it doesn’t make sense, and no I have never been abused but I know if I get a chance to call for help, its not going to be an assistant to leave a message. I also believe there is much more to this story and even if it helps him, truthfully he is a man and no one wants to hear it because he hurt her, which he is totally wrong for. But i do beleive it’s not as cut and dry as they are making it out to be and that she did nothing. NAH don’t beleive it. And honestly she is not some poor girl, with no support and fearing for her life that has to stay. She is making that choice, and contrary to belief she had to have low self esteem long before chris to do that because she has means to get out unlike most people.

Just the other day her person of interest called her from jail saying his BM came into his house while his father was there started an argument, hit him, then HE called the police and when they came she said he punched her in her stomach (she’s seven months). The result, he did the right thing but still got put in jail.
So another part of it is teaching your child what it means to be in a relationship with another person and to show them the type of characteristics their significant others should display. If you aim high and set high standards for your self…some of this foolishness that is going on in our community can be avoided…

You’re missing the point that Rihanna is a battered woman. If she wasn’t, she would have gotten out of the car when he tried to shove her out. She would not have faked a call to her assistant. It is not until you realize yourself worth and what your place in society and relationship with GOD is, that you gain self confidence and simultaneously self control over your life…real talk

Sandra I know u laughing like what! they both need to start a foundation for battered women and children of battered women to help stop the cycle because as we see it affects both sides and men and women both. I’m watching MTB (yes on record) Q was on the phone with his mom and he hung up stressing over supporting them. He’s only 20. Had he not made the band how would she be supporting herself. I don’t like the fact that a young man who should really be in college is shedding tears because he is stressing over supporting his grown family.
