Obowma’s sister signs a book deal

According to Politico.com, Barack Obowma’s sister Maya Soetoro-Ng, a teacher in Hawaii, signed a book deal with Candlewick press to write a children’s book. Barack and Maya’s deceased mother is the inspiration for Ladder to the Moon. The book is also inspired by Maya’s 4-year-old daughter.
What lessons, the author wonders, might her daughter have learned from her grandmother had the two ever met?
