Morning Wood: Mario
Remember when singer Mario was bleaching his skin to appear 3 shades lighter a few years ago? (See ad below) Well, he seems to have gotten over his self hate as evidenced by his beautiful smooth brown skin in this new ad.
Mario, whom we still suspect is How U Doin, is featured in a new marketing ad for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) which seems to encourage black men to scribble (more) ink on their skin rather than wear fur. I can’t think of the last time I saw a brotha wearing a mink fur coat. But I’ve seen too many brothas defacing their temples with ink.

he was not bleaching, the picture just has bright lighting.
he can get it. i dont think he was bleaching his skin. pictures can be tampered with. I was never that into his music,him yes, so seeing live interviews where he was shades lighter or darker dont come to mind. He has always been attractive though. Self hate is a lil far. What if it was acne cream or something. He was a teen growing right before our eyes. Maybe they caked on makeup to hide the bad skin or something.
He has the same exact grill on his face in both pics! And agree with tintin, the lighting is what made him look bright!
I like Mario on dancing with the stars. Isn’t that Eugenia(sp) from Top Model in that pic with him?

@ daisy…yup, that’s eugenia. i think mario is a cutie. i don’t think he’s “how u doin” and i think he just used to wear bad makeup…no skin bleaching.
Anybody see his MTV special with his mother about her drug addiction? It was very sad but I gave him props for sharing his story. He looks just like his mama.
Eugena should have one that cycle of ANTM. Mario is looking a bit scrumptious, now that is worthy of morning wood. Not that I’m asking for it or anything…

i seen the mtv special about him and his mom. i have a new found respect for him since then! my fav is still “braid my hair” come on and and braid my hair/back in my hood feelin good/no worries or no fear/baby use ur hands to make it feel alright and take away the stress and drama in my life, while u braid my hair!
oh yeah and dont fake like those “MMMMMM K” aka downlow bros in the A still rock the minks!

Eugenia was a mess on her season of ANTM. She may have stepped her game up since then but she didn’t take strong pictures.
I saw Mario’s MTV special, so sad about his mom. It made me look at him a lot differently after watching that.

I watched half of one episode (towards then end). It made me look at him differently also. Just a reminder of how many kids are the “parents”. It may have helped his career but sometimes when you are in the limelight there are certain ppl you have to limit yourself to. I E. Frankie, she is acting a hot mess again,( it use to be in a fun way, now she is embarrassing).
Everybody isn’t gay or suspect men but those kind of men do seem to be taking over esp. here in the A..lol Sorry

I love Mario! The MTV special was great (I won’t love you to death). He really loves his mother. He looks great. I’m glad he’s still grinding. His mothers drug addiction could have forced him into a life of crime and it didn’t. His ex-managers stole all hs money and he’s still on the right track. Go Mario!
