Comments Off on Stop emailing me about Nas

I’m not interested in anything Nas has to say. So spare me with the “Nas is so positive” emails. He wasn’t so positive when he used the word “N*gger” as a marketing tool to sell his album.

And now that Hip Hop really is dead, I see he’s abandoned that gimmick. My, how quickly we forget.

After butting heads with the show’s producers over unauthorized endorsement placements, TLC has decided to take Jon Gosselin off Jon & Kate Plus 8.

The show will focus on Kate as a single mother of twins girls and quintuplets in Kate plus 8.

I’ve only seen one episode of the show (just to see what the hype was about) and Jon comes across as an overbearing jerk who would much rather be chasing skirts than minding his own kids.

Moments after TLC announced the news that the show was moving on without him, Jon’s attorney submitted paperwork to a Pennsylvania court requesting a delay in his divorce proceedings. The reasons are obvious: 1. Jon loses any say so over his family’s appearance on the show if the divorce goes through, and 2. Jon doesn’t have a job.

According to USA Today, Jon’s attorneys submitted this statement to a Pennsylvania court approved arbitrator asking for a delay:

“Even though we were heading for a divorce, it appeared that Kate had been suffering from this divorce as much as I had. That’s why I asked my attorney to put the brakes on this divorce so I could try to regain control over the future of our family. So Kate and I could join on a cooperative course that would benefit our family — not destroy it.”

I used poor judgment in publicly socializing with other women so soon.”

These are not my words, but I can relate. I found this post on AOL Black Voices Entertainment board. You may not agree with the message because your sons wear their pants saggin’ and they immerse themselves in that criminal culture called Hip Hop. Or they idolize these thug rappers, who but for the grace of God would be behind bars or dead themselves.

But the reality is that the innocence of youth has been rudely snatched away by the violent and destructive imagery of Hip Hop despite what music mogul Russell Simmons and others who benefit from Hip Hop say.

The death of Derrion Albert..more fruit from the tree of thug worship.

Jay Z, a professed former crack dealer was on Oprah last week. Snoop Dogg is a cultural icon. Tupac is an iconic figure. Need I mention, 50 Cent, the Game, and the whole plethora of drug dealers, rapists, burglars, and other felons that black America worships.

Young black boys want to be them…
Old black men want to reclaim their youth by sagging by them…
Young black women, educated and non educated, want to F them and have babies by them..
Older black women consider them to be “real men”

Thug worship.

Until black America quits worshipping thugs, this violence will not end.

Pop singer Rihanna was spotted jetting out of a Berlin airport yesterday. She looks cute in a sweatshirt dress and cop’s hat with Christian Louboutin animal print booties. Nice!

RHOA cast member NeNe still on the west coast acting like she’s a celebrity. She takes the ripped jeans style to a ridiculous level with ripped leggings. This chick has no class.

Other celebs in attendance were Rachel Bilson, Dita Von Teese, models Alek Wek and Chanel Iman, disgraced rapper Kaney west and his beard Amber Rose, and designer Giuseppe Zanotti.

Some of us are still reeling from the images of school children killing one of their own in Chicago last week. 16-year-old Derrion Albert died from brain injuries caused by blunt force trauma to the head after being jumped by other students from his high school. Contrary to numerous erroneous media reports, there was no gang activity involved.

The confusion stems from civilized adults trying to make sense of uncivilized behavior.

There’s a classic book written in the 1950’s called “Lord of the Flies” about a group of British boys stranded on a deserted island in the Atlantic ocean following a plane crash. The adults didn’t survive the crash so the children were left to govern themselves. Eventually, in the absence of adult supervision and with no social rules to conform to, they turn on each other like savages.

In this video found on What About Our Daughter’s blog, Central City High School Principal Ras Baraka tried to make sense of an off-campus shooting involving a high school student from his Newark, New Jersey school.

“This is not normal!,” he tells an audience of the injured student’s peers.

“You’re living this life like it’s normal. This is abnormal to talk about your friends dying, to not be able to walk home safely from school… this is not normal to be wearing t-shirts that say ‘Rest in Peace’, to be writing ‘Rest in Peace’ on the wall. This is not normal! Nobody else’s children do this!

Sadly, he’s right. Only in the black community are our children killing each other off at alarming rates. What’s wrong with our people?

At the end of the book “Lord of the Flies,” the children who have already killed two of their own, are in the process of killing a third boy when a naval officer lands on the island, interrupting them. The naval officer’s ship was attracted to the island by a fire the kids had set.

The officer expressed surprise at the children’s behavior, telling them he expected better from them. The officer who was unaware of the two murdered boys assumed the children were playing a game.

His confusion stemmed from a civilized mind trying to make sense of uncivilized behavior.

I did a double take when I saw this magazine cover on another blog. I had to make sure that I was seeing the words “Life & Stye” instead of “OK! magazine”, which reportedly shelled out $300,000 in cold cash to Khloe Kardashian and her mama for the exclusive rights to Khloe and Lamar Odom’s wedding.

Yet there she is laughing it up on the cover of Life & Style magazine in her white Vera Wang wedding dress — and OK! magazine’s editors are not amused!

Not only did Life & Style get the wedding dress money shot, but so did X17online.com‘s paparazzi as well as numerous helicopter bound paparazzi in the skies above the Beverly Hills mansion where Khloe’s quickie marriage to NBA star Lamar Odom took place on Sunday.

According to ContactMusic, the magazine bosses are furious at Khloe for allowing her wedding to turn into a 3-ring media circus. But that’s what media whores DO, and OK! magazine should have already known that!

No doubt, the Kardashians made a few side deals in addition to the one they had with OK! mag. At this point, Khloe Kardashian needs to stack as much loot as she can because her sister Kim Kardashian — the other media whore in the family — wants her spotlight back.

In the meantime, OK! mag is out $300,000 and clear pictures of Khloe in her wedding dress are all over the Internets.

A guest at the wedding told OK! mag, “There were so many helicopters overhead, you couldn’t hear the vows. The Kardashian family had assured OK! the ceremony would be at a secluded location, but in the end it was a circus.”

Speaking of magazine covers, First Lady Michelle O covers Prevention magazine this month. Inside she says, “Life really gets good when you’re 40 or 50.” I bet she’ll sing a different tune when she starts going through menopause!

Actress Essence Atkins joins a slew of Hollywood celebrities who tied the knot this weekend. Essence met her husband Jaime Mendez on the Internet dating site Match.com. The two tied the knot at the Ambassador Mansion and Gardens in Pasadena, California on Saturday.

Essence says his rugged good looks in his profile pic is what drew her to him. “I wrote him a quick little note that I had read his profile, and then I signed off, Happy SAD Day – that’s Single Awareness Day,” says Essence, 37, Essence tells People.com.

Now see, all this time I thought she was a lesbun. How desperate do you have to be to look for a husband on the Internet? Essence always did come across as a LSLH version of a dumb blond. Good look to both of them.
