*Update* Obama Throws His Own Daughter Under the Bus!
Let’s see, Obama has thrown friends, politicians and an artist under his bus wheels. Now he’s throwing daughter Malia under the bus for getting a C- on a science test. The 11-year-old scored a 73 on a science test. Obama claimed he was using Malia’s grade as a teaching moment.
That’s a narcissist for you to use his own daughter or political reasons. How humiliating for the poor child.

The White House is removing a controversial piece of artwork by a black artist who plagiarized the work of another artist. Despite the fact that the plagiarism was brought to the Obamas attention at least a month ago, they continued to defend the artist even though the artwork was a blatant copy of another well-known artist’s work.
The artist, Alma Thomas, defended her work by claiming that her painting Watusi (Hard Edge) was inspired by Henri Matisse’s The Snail, painted in 1953.
But if you look at the paintings side-by-side, Thomas’ painting is almost an exact replica of Matisse’s painting.

In an effort to save face, the White House issued a press release stating the artwork was being removed from the Obamas art collection “because it didn’t fit the space right.” That’s the best they could do?

nothing wrong with telling your daughter that a C is not acceptable.
Some parents purposly tell their childs grades, it’s a way for them to improve. I don’t see anything wrong with it. She is the president’s daughter and there is nothing wrong with “throwing your kids under the bus”, which he really did not do. He is just being a parent.
additionally sandra, nothing wrong with telling the public that a C is not acceptable in your household.
maybe the BUSH family should have had the same standards and we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in now.
if it had been a white man, it would have been “high standards” but because it’s BO, it’s “throwing under a bus”.

What is considered art to some is crap to others. Yes this does look like a 6 yr old did it, not a grown azz man who even had the nerve to copy it. LOL.
I don’t see whats wrong with what he said, heck he’s kinda soft on those girls of all he’s expecting is an A-, I was told that it was straight A’s or nothing.

It’s not about how any of us feel - not even the prez - it’s about how Malia felt about it. I think he did it in a way not to hurt Malia’s feelings but you never know with kids.
My daughter didn’t like for me to use her as an example - good or bad. It embarrassed her. And, that was just around family & friends. If she did something I was really proud of and wanted to tell everyone I’d ask her first.

@sunny, when i say high standards, i’m referring to the fact that he expects them to earn 90 and above.
even the highest achievers earn poor grades every once in a while and have to be consoled and motivated. but the overall message he was trying to give is overlooked with foolishness like this headline.
A “C” shouldn’t be acceptable. Sandra, you are tripping with that one. In this country, we wonder why we are lagging in education. I know somehow, someway, that’s gonna be President Obama’s fault, but it’s not. As a teacher and a parent, more folks need to not accept “C”’s. I called a parent who has her student in gift and talented classes, the kid has a 67 and the momma’s arguement was that she was supposed to have a 69. Wha the hell kinda crap is that? But unfortunatly, it’s the world we live in…..
