PICS: Nu Pop Movement Watch Launch Party @ Wish
Last night, former music mogul Jermaine Dupri launched his new line of affordable watches at WISH in Atlanta and celebrity photographer Prince WIlliams of ATLPics.net was there to capture all the excitement.
Other celebs in the house included R&B Diva Monica, rapper Big Boi, former America’s Top Model finalist Eva tha Diva and her fiance actor Lance Gross, socialite Teyana Taylor (I don’t know what else to call her), and socialite Sarah Chapman (pictured below).
The line of affordable watches called Nu Pop Movement range in price from $95 to $145. I’m told the watches sales were brisk last night as everyone purchased one for themselves or as gifts.
Monica, Lance and Eva attended the event in support of JD. I was invited to this launch personally by PR diva Patti Webster of W & W Public Relations. But I couldn’t find a thing to wear.

I like the watch style…just like I did when the style was popular in the 80′s. LOL.

Okay, Monica looks good, Jermaine looks older then my grandfather, Lance Gross is lookin right, Eva needs a bucket of water and a face cloth, teyana hair looks a lot more moist(Thank God). Umm that’s all.

and she got on a jumpsuit (which an ATL friend of mine rocked waaaay better than she did btw…) and THIS chick got on that jumpsuit showing her ta ta’s and some open toed shoes….
Im not sure i like the watches but they will sale just becuase of little man LOL!!!!!!!

Eva should have borrowed Moncicas make up artist right quick. Or at the very least not take a picture with her. The difference in makeup is GLARING side by side.

Her mom is beautiful. She would have stood out more and made a better statement with a different outfit on. I’ll give her a pass because TT does not always dress for success, just for fun, she has on her riding outfit and her duck boots.

I think they are over priced for as plastic as they look, I don’t see diamonds or gems. I don’t even know anybody who wears a watch other than my hubby. I probably have 20 watches but don’t bother wearing one, I think I don’t wear one because I am too blind to see what time it is. These watches do have big print for the visually challenged.
I’ll give Teyana’s mom a half-pass but she looks young. I guess she has my mother mentality dress how you want and not give a darn what others think especially if you look younger than your actual age.
Does anyone else remember when stop watches were popular or was that a NY thing back in the early 90′s. I remember I had a red one.

TT’s mom looks fabulous to have a child that can vote. Still hating the outfit. Maybe she’s been chilling with Janice Combs.
Now that I think about it Teyana’s mama was a little over the top on the super Sweet Sixteen show I dont remember what her mom does for a living but she is in the industry. Hey Sandra how about digging up some info on what the mother does in the industry because she did thrown a huge super sweet sixteen for Teyana so clearly she isn’t just a groupie, well never mind this is ATL we are talking about. Teyana’s mom is beautiful! The jumpsuit is a little too much but she definitely has the body for it. I am 36 and I wish I looked like that. LOL
