I get what you’re saying; however, I can personally say that at my sons age, that I nor any of my friends in school were even thinking of shaking our butts in the boys faces, that in middle school I nor any of my peers sending naked booty pics via text messages or in high school were we posting booty popping vid’s on the internet for not only their circle of friends but the whole world via web to see. Yes the majority of us shook our stuff at some point while dancing with guys.
I guess what I’m having the most issue with is there is no sense of “I shouldn’t be doing this” or “if my momma or daddy saw this I would be dead” . Instead there is “Momma, hold the camera straight…”

I love great danes….big ol’ teddy bears stuck in horse bodies and at this stinking little ball of cute fur on my lap right now. I have to go to the local pet shops to see if they sell a special kind of dog food for her little troubled belly because my hubby is about to put us both out.

I think thats what most women want. Those women in the clip wanted a honest man who has ambitions. I stay hearing some women say a man has potential to grow within the relationship, but seriously how many times is a woman going to put up with a man lying, or him constantly acting like he 17 when he is 29 years of age? When is maturity going to kick in? I am dealing with some one I love dearly but his maturity level is low and I do not know how much longer I am going to last.

You have a new puppy???? I was gonna get hubby a puppy for Christmas, but, we already have 2 kids, 2 dogs, and a 6 month old puppy now.

@ Crislex a while back I did some research about marriage and while whites have a HIGHER PERCENTAGE OF MARRIAGE THEY ALSO HAVE THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF DIVORCE. Whereas blacks have a LOWER PERCENTAGE OF MARRIAGE AS WELL AS A LOWER DIVORCE RATE. With that said, whites marry too often and too quickly those increasing there chances for divorce. For blacks we don’t marry as much but our marriages tend to last longer w/a lower divorce rate. So that’s why I don’t get caught up with the whole white amerika trying to act like black women are doomed because we have a higher percentage of single women. Come on our black males are locked up at an alarmingly disproportionate rate.

About us mouthing off, yes girl, YESSSS. I have had to tone down my Latina “spicyness” (made up word?) because my husband was like “why do you have to sound like you are mad even when you are not?” I think it has to do with my insecurities growing up of being put down and not listened to that have put in me the need to make sure I am heard and that I come of as assertive. But in the end it comes of as being bitchy and bossy. I have sought help and have actually noticed a BIG change over the past year.

To answer your question, my opinion on the situation of black women being single is that I personally think there is a lot worse things than being single and in your thirties or forties for that matter. I feel that society has groomed us women [of all races] to think that if we are not married by a certain age, then were are tainted goods or wholesale merchandise ready for a 70% markdown..I call bullish! There is nothing wrong with a woman knowing her self worth and what she wants and NOT sacrificing her emotional, and mental well being and her happiness just for the sake of saying she has a man.
I am going to say this and this is how i feel personally, I am so TIRED of society and the media perpetuating this idea that black women are not desirable and that it is something wrong with us because we reach a certain age and are still not married..hell, there are ALOT of other races of women who are not married by the time they are in there thirties too…but no..it always has to be the black women…its something wrong with us…we’re too agressive…were too mouthy…we’re too angry..BULLISH…I’m not falling for the okey-doke anymore….maybe alot of us are single because we have decided we are not going to settle..and I am not going to dog the brothers, because I still believe there are alot of good, intelligent, christian, “black-woman” loving brothers out there, but just because someone is a good man does not mean there is going to be chemistry, and because somebody is a good man, does not mean he is the man for you.
There are a lot of reasons why some of us [me included] but for those of us that are single, we cannot let the media and society brainwash us into thinking that its because we are not desirable, because that’s not true.

I am a very picky eater also. Paris has great food though. I think German food and British food is gross so all I ate there was bread and butter pretty much. They all have McDonalds, but it doesn’t always taste the same in different countries. Japans Micky D’s is very gross. I try to always travel near a military base because they always have american food.

She at least has a little bit of sense, cuz she sure had us fooled. I said to hubby, I’m glad we got those gates. Not knowing that her a** done jumped over the gate, and was on the loose.
@daisy…The food in London just looked like it sucked actually, because I didn’t have the courage to put it in my mouth. I just couldnt get passed the way it smelled and looked. When I tried to eat it I started dry heaving and it was all over. Bread and butter from then on. I don’t like greek food either and my mother is greek. My mom says I grew up eating hot dogs, spaghetti, Grilled cheese and tacos. I don’t eat any asian food, onions or seafood either. My dad is PR and I like PR food, minus the seafood.

I just came back from vacay and my cat apparentley was ticked off at being left alone cause he teed on my blanket that I left him to snuggle on. He never has accidents in the house. Since I’ve been home he has been on my lap non-stop.
