Wale – Pretty Girls
Wack, low budget video for Wale’s track “Pretty Girls”. I’m surprised his album is nowhere near going gold and isn’t even on the charts any more. It did have a couple of bangers on there, and as I said before, I like this track. Poor Wale. Maybe he should have discovered his own sound instead of biting kanye’s?

what in the Windows Movie Maker hail is this? I could have chopped and screwed this video at home in less than an hour! I think artists forget about all the software programs that are available to the general public. Most people make home videos and use WMM, Adobe, or some other software. The beat is nice, but the song is wack lol.

In defense of Wale, I really like his music! His feature for Honey Mag is always on point and he is a conscious brother! He doesn’t sound like Kanye @Sandy! Just because every other word isn’t a curse word ….

twitter was going at him about having a video/song about pretty girls but only having one flavor of girls in the video. there was only one dark sinned girl and he said she won a contest. his claim was that no dark skinned girls answered the casting call for the video and he had no control over it. he did however have a couple of thick girls so it wasn’t all LHLS/skinny models.
i know it is the norm to see LHLS girls in rap videos, but Wale is supposed to be a different kind of rapper so seeing the video was like What? . Also he said Weensey was unable to make the shoot to sing the hook!!!. so overall fail on this video, but the song is still good.
I love this song and the album is a banger. Since when do record sales automatically equal great talent? Miley Cyrus sells millions of cds. Does that mean she is better than India Ari?

Wow, I just lost mad respect for Wale, there was absolutely not even a hint of chocolate in that video besides his black, dusty ass. I’m so over rap and rappers in general.
Well Wale didn’t have any control over the women in the video–it was the label. He wanted the dark-skinned earthy sisters, but his label made that decision.
Save it Wale,so u have no control over your art? I guess that is why your career is in the crapper. A video like this should have included every race of women, cus we are all beautiful. The video total cost was probaly $15.
I know some women say it’s not a big deal, but if we dont speak up there will eventually be no more dark women in media. This will brain wash the up and coming generation even more. Blacks loves to throw other races in their videos,but u MIGHT see one chocolate person in other races videos. So what does that say?
Artists have to pay for videos out of their advances. It’s a recession, I wouldn’t spend millions of dollars on a video, either! Especially if I’m gonna owe the record company because of it. Record sales aren’t what they used to be.
I love Wale. That CD is fire! That is all.
