Normally, a father picking up his daughter from school doesn’t create a media frenzy. But, in this case, the father is troubled golfer Tiger Woods picking up his 2-year-old daughter Sam from her private school in Windemere, Florida on Friday.

In February, Tiger and his wife Elin wrote an apology to other parents at their daughter’s school for “any inconvenience you are experiencing due to the increased media scrutiny surrounding our children…It is our goal to keep life as normal as possible for our children. We are sure that as parents you can appreciate that.”

TMZ obtained the first public photo of Tiger with either of his kids since the adultery scandal blew up in November, 2009. In this a sign that all is well in the Tiger Woods household? Not exactly.

While Tiger was picking up Sam from school, his (some say estranged) wife Elin Nordegren-Woods was in sunny Florida attending the Sony Ericsson tennis Open in Key Biscayne with the couple’s son Charlie Axel, 13 months.

Tiger is now in Augusta where he’s practicing for the Masters. There’s word that Elin might show up at the Masters to root for Tiger if he makes it into the final round, but I doubt it.

The Masters is Tiger’s first major golf tourney since the scandal broke. The tournament gets underway on April 8.
