Family and Friends Remember Lorenzen Wright

Friends assist Sherra Wright, the grieving ex-wife of slain NBA player Lorenzen Wright, as she approaches the casket of Wright during a memorial service at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn. today. Sherra Wright’s home was searched by investigators on Sunday. She has not been named a suspect in her ex-husband’s death.

Another child or children growing up without their father. Whether it be dying, prison, or the man not wanting to be in the child’s life.

Sandra I saw on tv today that 60% of athletes are broke 5 yrs. after retiring. Why don’t ppl invest in themseles and their “real family”? It really does cost pennies for life insurance.
That baby just made my heart ache. I am so sorry for their pain.

MY NIECE WHO IS 17 YRS OLD IS STILL AFFECTED BY HER FATHERS DEATH THAT HAPPENED WHEN SHE WAS ABOUT THE SAME AGE AS THE LIL GIRL… EXTREMELY TRAUMATIZING… I HOPE THEY CATCH THE SOB WHO DID THIS
I am upset that this man called 911 before he was shot and the dispatchers could care less to find him. They found the man’s body 10 days later when it may have saved the man’s life if they have done their jobs.
That is my worst nightmare. Calling 911 and no one responds.
So unnecessary! I just have a strong feeling the wife knows something, or had someone do this.
I know…seems like a LEAP, but why did they serve a warrant TODAY and search her HOME? They have something. It sounds like she is bitter that he blew thru the $$. What the hell did he spend all that $$ on?

They searched her home on Sunday, not today. Unless they performed a second search?
Hope everything was put in order for the kid’s sake. Everyone must have a plan in case of unfortunate events. So when you leave this world, your kids shall remain to be taken care of.

What I don’t like is the pictures of these kids grieving.now when they type in there dads name these pics show up.funerals are supposed too be private not public.but the kids will at least get ssi until 18 if nothing else

911 was called but I think I read that two jurisdicitons were trying to figure out if it was there call to respond to.
Heartbreaking looking at those kids.
And do agree…the ex wife story isn’t added up with me. For the kids sake, i
she had nothing to do with it.
My heart hurts for these babies.
I pray the family finds peace during this horrible time and that justice is served quickly.
I also hope the wife didn’t have anything to do with this. It would be a damn shame if your own mother had a hand in killing your father. I would feel so bad for them because they would have lost two parents. I haven’t been following this story to know what her story is but I hope she wasn’t involved. Poor kids. And, I agree, it is very rare 6 kids have the same momma and daddy. SMDH.

really something a completely innocent person does.

As sophisticated as these cell phones are nowadays, they still can’t tie
them into the local 911 service. I know this from first hand
experience. I dialed 911 from my cell once and the cops NEVER showed up.
I came home and one of my windows was partly open and it scared me so I
called the police. I had to get a friend to
come over and walk through my house with me to make sure no one was
inside. It turned out that the little catch that you twist on top of the
window to lock and unlock it had broken. Thank goodness that’s all it
was! A lot of people only have cell phones nowadays for economical
reasons, but it’s a good idea to have a landline service just in case.

the second to the last pic with her little face is just tough to see.
and SR, they’re called WIVES for a reason. she should have made sure their business was taken care of in the midst of having all those kids. wills and policies need to be updated and plans made. if they are penniless at this point, it’s because he had no life insurance. my husband is not good w/business matters AT ALL…but i damn sure am.

I’m speechless. My heart goes out to the children. Only God knows the pain they are experiencing. Lifting them up in prayer….
I think it’s a rumor that he was totally broke. He was ordered to pay around $26,000 a month in spousal and child support. I doubt the judge would order that much if he didn’t have the income to pay it.

As Daisy said, Jesus be a fence around this family! I watched the live feed yesterday and it just broke my heart. Seeing his mom and dad and those kids really touched me! @Sandra, I don’t believe the rumor that he’s broke. I know his fam and I haven’t heard that.
