It seems that actress Vivica A. Foxx can’t keep a man to save her life. Earlier, club promoter Slimm of Plush Blue Entertainment, sent out this press release:

Hey this is Slimm, unfortunately me and Vivica are no longer dating. After 8 months it’s time to go our separate ways. In life you can love and have chemistry with a person but Flaws can sometimes outweigh the relationship. I wish her the best and I know she feels the same. Thanks.

Welp, I’m sure they had fun while it lasted. Vivica got her back aligned nightly, and Slimm became a household name (at least in the ATL).

That’s what happens when you visit “Touched By An Angel”. For those that aren’t in Atlanta, this is a chain (I guess that’s what you can call it) of weaving shops spread all over the metro area. In the shop, you are guaranteed to find a Quanda, Teeka and Coko there. They love doeing hair but can’t seem to pass the board so they are stuck to braiding your hair and what not in these shops. Have you walking out looking all crazy and ish. And then they have the nerve to get an attitude with you when you demand changes in your ‘do. They got me once. And I vow they will NEVER get me again.

Why did I just read a story that a “dead” newborn started cryin at her wake???

“A newborn girl declared dead by doctors in Mexico surprised mourners when she came back to life inside her coffin.

Hidalgo state Attorney General Jose Rodriguez says the parents heard a strange noise coming from the casket during the baby’s wake.

When they opened the coffin, they found the infant crying and very much alive.

The baby was born prematurely on Monday and was pronounced dead by a doctor at a hospital in the town of Tulancingo. The doctor is now being investigated for possible negligence, Rodriguez said.

The baby is in stable condition at a different hospital.”

The story didn’t mention if there was an autopsy, nor did it mention anything about embalming the baby. But, some cultures don’t go through that whole process. All I could say was, “Wow”, to the whole story. I couldn’t even think of any questions, because I just can’t imagine anything of the sort. :/

In the U.S. they only perform autopsies if the person dies from trauma, accidental death, gunshots, violence or unexplained causes. They don’t do autopsies if the person died from natural causes. I don’t know about other countries.

(Aug. 6) — A Mexican baby that had been pronounced dead was discovered to be still breathing — just hours before she was scheduled to be buried.

Dafne Marisol Hernandez, 17, was preparing to say farewell to her daughter, who died not long after her premature birth this week.

To Hernandez’s surprise, she could hear noises coming from inside the coffin. When she opened it up, she saw that her baby was alive — and crying.

It seems the odds for the baby were stacked against her from the beginning. Hernandez was rushed to hospital in Pachuca, northeast of Mexico City, when her water broke. She was only 24 weeks pregnant. Doctors took a blood sample and told her that they would have to induce labor; otherwise her life would be in danger.

When the baby was born, she weighed only 1.3 pounds. Soon after, doctors declared that the baby had died, saying they could no longer detect a pulse.

The case is “very strange and inexplicable,” Adolfo Martinez, director of the hospital, told news agency EFE. “We don’t know exactly when the heart and lung function returned.”

Just as strange is the fact that such a weak child could survive being declared dead. Once the death certificate had been signed, the baby was taken to an ice-cold mortuary.

She was left there for more than four hours before being given back to the family.

“We know that premature babies can’t take even a minute of cold conditions, let alone the temperature of a morgue,” Martinez said. “It’s not normal that she survived.”

@Thetruth…I just googled fantasia overdose and listened to the 911 tape. So sad…when her daughter realizes what her mother did…it will give her a fear of abandonment for the rest of her life (my dime store psychology 2 cents).

embalming is only necessary if the body needs to be prolonged for a few days ie a funeral, but if you die and going to be buried in the family backyard the same day then no embalming for you..
