R&B Singer Mario Arrested for Assaulting His Mother
According to TMZ.com, R&B singer Mario was arrested for allegedly attacking his own mother. I’m not surprised to read this.
It’s been rumored for years that Mario is a down low male who hides his preferences for men. Usually these down low men are conflicted. They tend to have deep seated issues with women in general that stems from their poor relationships with own their mothers, who they blame for all their problems.
According to police, Mario’s mother Shawntia Hardaway — a former heroin addict — told cops the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant had been “throwing and damaging property” … and pushed her around with his hands and forearms.
Cops say they found several broken items inside the apartment — including a broken china cabinet, a busted mirror and a hole in the closet door.
Mario’s mother also told police the 24-year-old singer had attacked her earlier in the week — in which he pushed her “eight feet into a living room wall, where Ms. Hardaway hit her head on the wall.”
Mario — real name Mario Dewar Bennett — was eventually arrested this morning for 2nd degree assault. He was released on $50,000 bond.

first of all i really believe that sandrarose is a man, posing as a woman, because everybody is narcissitic, down low, conflicted felony, first before she/he mentions a person’s name, which leaves me to think something is wrong with sandrarose to, but anyway, mario mom like many drug addicts have made miserable monsters out of their kids, now that the party is over and they see the light, they want their kids to go back to that time in place before they not only ruined their lives but the lives of everybody including their kids around them, but its to late, now you have this broken child who had to grow up and be the parent before his time, but mario has taken care of not only her but his younger brother, and this man is only 24, im not saying it was okay for him to put his hands on his mom, but something major had to go down for this to happen because from what i have seen mario reallllly loves his mother. and even if he was down low that doesnt mean he doesnt love her, luther vandross was partically down low and he loved his mom. im just saying something must have pushed him to this point, lets pray that now since she is drug free (hopefully), that maybe she can help him heel some of the pain she caused him.

Every mother is NOT a good mother and his mom has been on hard drugs most of his life so I’m sure there is more to this story… and no one should put their hands on anyone male or female period. A woman can’t fight a man and expect to walk away unscathed, period. Can’t fault the dude until all the facts come out. I said a while back that my aunt was off that shyt so bad that my momma had to take my cousins to live with us. short story……….
When I was 12, I was at my aunt’s crib, there were a whole lot of us (15-20, boys and girls) sittin around kickin it. Nobody even knew auntie was home then all of the sudden she comes downstairs completey bucky, goes into the kitchen, and starts tryin to cook somethin. She comes back in the living room and sits on one of my cousin’s friends’ lap asking him where his brother (dopeman) was. Cuz jumped up and tried to grab her arm and tell her to take her azz in her room and put some clothes on while everyone else was laughin and gettin up to leave, and she grabbed one of those old school, thick glass ashtrays and cracked him with it. Cuz ended up with stitches and she kicked him out of the house. My uncle had to come from Washington to stomp her azz out and she ended up moving far south for about 11 years, only to come back and act like we weren’t there when she was going through her things.

LOL I remember when I was like 26. My cousin, 18-19 at the time, was in the hospital damned near in an alcohol induced coma. She was diabetic as hell and had no business drinking. She lied and said her girl slipped her a mickey and left her at this dude’s house and that he boned her while she was passed out. Ok, so, I go to her girl’s house ready to whoop her ass, couldn’t cause my cousin snatched my ass back soon as I pounced. Ok, so, we go back to the hospital and the first thing my Granny says to me is, “Didja get her?”
Sandra…I went to school with Mario, he used to get his hair braided by my best friend and chill at her house with us AND his mom used to work with mine downtown at the telephone company for years- I sincerely DOUBT he just took off beating up on her. His mother has been STRUGGLING with her addiction for a lonnnnggg time. Even the telephone company tried to get her rehab before they let her go. It’s got to be more to this story than “oh-he just kicked her ass.” That boy LOVES his mama to death-through all that she has done to him and all that she neglected to do FOR him. And for you to just make him out to be some wreckless, power-drunk, narcissistic singer beating up on his mama while sensatioanlizing the story to fit your own warped idea of how things happened- is sad and pathetic.

My mom’s sister got her kids taken away because she tried to cook them one night by putting them in the oven. She and my mom had it bad, real bad luckily she got herself together. I’m still waiting for my mother to get her mess together….

Anyway- I just looked up his charges on the MD system and he still lives downtown in the high rises in Fells point which is why his ass got took to holidng on North Ave. And as much as they cost- it’s safe to say- that isn’t his mother’s apartment, but more than likely- HIS. He’s lived downtown for a while which makes me think even moreso- that she was doing some slick sh8t and he caught her and tried to call her out on it.
She called the cops on her son for pushing her ass in HIS apartment- why didn’t she just leave if she was worried and this had happened earlier this week? (the charges say his bday was on Monday too.)
Anyhow- its only 2nd degree assualt and it must not be so serious because his court date is November 9th- no indictment or preliminary mentioned.

But what happened there? How you know she didn’t get high and attack him and he pushed her to restrain her and protect himself. It doesn’t say he punched her, kicked her, slapped her, etc. Just that he pushed her into a wall- I’ve done that to people when they’ve came at me and I was not trying to fight. Pushing is usually a defensive move, not an offensive one.
Also- the report said he did the SAME thing earlier this week, no? If he’s in HIS apartment and he pushed you earlier this week and you are so fearful of him….why are you back in HIS apartment a few days later? That’s just like me going to my man’s house on Sunday. He whips my ass on Monday. I’m back there on Thursday starting some **** like 1) it’s my house and 2) like I didn’t learn my lesson several days before.
You have to admit- it’s probably more to this story especially knowing his mother’s history and her struggle with hard-core drugs.

Sandra, I take it you’ve never had an addict around you cause addicts will kill you and not think twice while they’re high, steal everything you got down to the carpet on the floors and the clothes off your back (I had one steal my baby’s diapers and formula to sell for a rock) and not give a damn if you’re their spouse, parent or child yet you’re supposed to sit there and do NOTHING?? Because she’s his mama he’s supposed to allow her to take from him, abuse him and no telling what else and he should just sit there and say please mom don’t do that no more (quietly and ish cause if he yells that would also be a b.itch move according to some)

We don’t know exactly what happened but based on the history of her and the little info that’s out there I’m willing to bet she did something foul and he tried to defend himself or his things… maybe you’re just very sheltered and have never had to experience things like life with an addict, REAL dv, sexual abuse or even cheating and that’s why your views are like they are on issues like these. I know you’ve said your father was an alcoholic which is bad but multiply that by about 20 and that’s what living with a person addicted to crack, heroin, coke or meth is like.
