I’m so tired of seeing Willow Smith all over the blogs. Okay, the 10-year-old had a cute, catchy single with “Whip My Hair” last year. But now she’s doing magazine covers. music videos and movies — all while admitting she can’t multiply or subtract.
In the latest issue of Teen Vogue magazine, on stands now, Willow says, “I used to go on tour with my mom and dad and see what they were doing, and I’d tell them, ‘Oh, I wanna do that, I wanna do that.”
How many kids aspire to grow up and be whatever their mommy and daddy does for a living? Most adults encourage their offspring to get an education first. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith are raising their kids backwards!
Every time Willow gives an interview there’s a blizzard of red flags indicating future problems for the child prodigy. Here’s an example of Willow’s parents pushing the child towards failure:
“Whenever I don’t feel like working, they say, ‘You don’t want that career? You have to work hard. They think I should keep working harder and harder.”
Hello? She’s only 10!! This is what happens when narcissists are allowed to raise children. Luckily, Tron’s mother saved him from a similar fate.
I got nothing. I’m not into Willow, her mom or brother. Her daddy got a lil sum’in sum’in though.
I feel like an education does NOT gurantee you a job ( I’m a living witness) and with all the money they have it aint like she was gonna work anyway…
However…she should be able to properly read, write and do math. If they have tutor with them at all times I dont see what the problem is …

And what tour did she go on with her father? She can’t mean press tour for movies because she isn’t acting so that’s not what she wanted to do. Will wasn’t doing rap since this girl was old enough to have a full understanding to want to mock it. Unless she meant her dad was on that 5 city tour her mother did.

I am pretty sure , she said she wasn’t good at multiplication , not that she didn’t know how. A lot of kids have problems with math, though they get better they never mastered it. Honestly do you think Willow is going to get a normal job and go to college? Um no, by law they are required to do some school work. I am sure the Smith’s are law abiding citizens. I’m glad that she is being productive with her time because she clearly could be doing something else…There should be a balance however, with her education & time as a performing artist. Ok so this is what I don’t understand there are PLENTY o kids who start working even before the age of 10 so I’m not undrstanding why she needs to wait until she’s older! And yes se does need to work hard and not quit. That’s what’s wrong with alot of kids today, when things get difficult or they want to hang with their friends they QUIT! Quittng is easy and far to many kids get that option. And whomever said she’s overexposed, isn’t she supposed to be since she has varies projects coming out? I just feel like people are going hard at this family because they are in the spotlight. Leave the CHILD alone!

I guess no one sees a problem with a child who can’t read, can’t count and she acknowledges that she is way behind her other classmates scholastically and she couldn’t care less. How about her parents putting aside her “career” so she can catch up to the other kids in her class? At 10-years-old she doesn’t need a career!!

Even Janet was on her brothers variety show when she was little and others.
