Brandon Marshall in trouble again for punching woman

NFL troublemaker Brandon Marshall is in hot water again, this time for punching a woman in the face outside a New York nightclub. According to Fox Sports, Marshall was at Marquee in Chelsea early Sunday when he got into an argument with a group of friends celebrating a birthday. Marshall reportedly punched the birthday girl, Christin Myles, 24, in the face after, his lawyer claims, a bottle was thrown at his wife.

Myles suffered a black eye. She later filed a police report naming Marshall as the perpetrator. But Marshall’s lawyer said the fight did not involve Marshall or his friends.

“While attempting to leave to avoid the melee [Marshall’s wife] was struck in the face by a thrown bottle. She suffered serious injury,” Harvey Steinberg said in a statement.

“While attempting to leave and take his wife to the hospital, the mayhem continued outside. Mr. Marshall is hoping to assist authorities in regards to this matter,” said Steinberg.

Marshall’s lawyer never denied that Marshall took a swing at Myles.

A few days after the fight, the Miami Dolphins unloaded Marshall in a trade to the Chicago Bears. The Bears front office claims not to know about the fight or the fact that Marshall is a loose cannon, who goes around punching women.

You may recall that Marshall was the subject of one of my Medical Minutes on Borderline Personality Disorder. That post came about after Marshall held a news conference to announce his diagnosis.

Marshall arranged the press conference to explain why he’s been arrested six times in the past for violence and other mayhem. One of those arrests was for assaulting his wife who was forced to stab him to get him off of her. That particular arrest landed Marshall in therapy for his aggression and mood disorders.

After completing his therapy, Marshall told reporters that he wanted to be “the face” of Borderline Personality Disorder. But people with BDP and narcissism are notoriously difficult to treat because they think they know more than the therapist.

We can see that nothing has changed.

Woww…well she did have 9 children and was watching 19! However, if I had that many children I would do a roll call everytime we arrived and departed. I have in laws with that many children who have driven off without one of them, but it didn’t take a whole day to realize they weren’t there.

Thefts of liquid Tide laundry detergent have become so common in some areas that retailers are now locking bottles up or using security devices.

Authorities said crooks are stealing the detergent and then selling it for drug money, or even trading it for drugs.

Tuesday was laundry day for Rhoda Cornish. Her reaction to hearing about this unlikely form of crime is just like most people we spoke with.

“That’s crazy,” Cornish said. “Why would they want to be stealing detergent?”

“Why” is a good question.

Criminals are not going for the Gain, they’re taking the Tide. It all has to do with a lack of serial numbers, making the bottles virtually impossible to track.

Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis has seen it all when it comes to crime. He said the Tide “soap spree” is a new one in his book but he said when it comes to drugs, nothing surprises him.

“They will do anything to get that next fix,” he commented, “But hearing about Tide laundry detergent being used in exchange for drugs, that’s a new one. We’ve not seen that but I guess now it’s something we have to look out for as well.”

Bill Stang of Seaford thinks the economy might have something to do with it.

“It really sounds like a desperate situation and these are desperate times right now. I just cannot believe that people would stoop that low to trying something like that for a bad disease, really,” Stang said.

A major Tide laundry detergent bust was made back in November in Prince George’s County. Officials there said one store was losing as much as $15,000 a month from stolen Tide alone.

That’s nothing compared to this white woman in Virginia who left her infant child in the car (at work) for over 7 hours; the baby had succumbed to the 90+ degree heat. The mother’s punishment was 6 years probation. We all know had it been one of us, we’ll be in prison for 2nd degree manslaughter.

I guess it could happen, because one of my coworkers said she had gotten all the way to work and didn’t realize she hadn’t dropped her son off at daycare.
