I must confess that I had no idea who video vixen Esther Baxter was until yesterday when celebrity blog Bossip.com posted graphic photos of her spontaneously aborted embryo resting in a toilet.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Baxter, the 26-year-old first gained fame by dancing in Petey Pablo’s “Freek-A-Leek” music video in 2004.

It seems that the gossip blog got ahold of the disturbing pictures of the embryo after Baxter, who was involved In a toxic on/off relationship with NY rapper Joseph Budden, lost her embryo during a violent confrontation with the 30-year-old rapper back in February.

The dictionary defines an “embryo” as:

“…an unborn or unhatched offspring in the process of development.”

The embryo wasn’t even in the fetus stage yet because it was less than 8 weeks from conception. But that didn’t prevent a sizable uproar on the social networking website Twitter.com last night, with protesters calling for a boycott of the blog that printed the pictures.

According to Bossip, it was Esther herself who provided the graphic photos of the bloody embryo prior to being flushed down a toilet in a post titled “Esther Baxter: “Joe Budden Killed Our Baby”.

According to Esther — and detailed in court documents: Budden, the rapper, caused Baxter’s spontaneous abortion when he grabbed Baxter “by her ankles and dragged her causing injury to her back.” Additionally, the little known rapper caused injury to Baxter by “attempting to choke the victim against the wall, and sitting on her stomach…” This was all done in clear violation of a restraining order.

Budden was initially arrested for assaulting Baxter, but he couldn’t be prosecuted because she dropped the charges.

According to my followers on Twitter.com, these two unfortunate people are still together after taking their stormy relationship public in numerous online videos, on social networking sites and in rap songs.

Of course, we shouldn’t be surprised that a black woman remains in a dysfunctional, violent relationship with an emotionally unavailable black man who displays clear absentee father/domineering mother issues. This seems to be a learned behavior among black women in our community.

I wish Esther Baxter well.
