Am I the only one who thinks Tiffany Green was in on the stunt with BET?

If there’s one thing awards shows know, it’s that the viewing public is very gullible. That’s why they pull stunts because they know you’ll fall for it. Case in point: a chick named Tiffany Green won the opportunity to present BET’s Viewer’s Choice Award during the 2011 BET Awards last night. Instead of announcing the nominees for the award, she squints at the teleprompter and then says “Chris Brown?” Then she feigns total confusion and says “Rihanna?”

Terrence J pretends to save her by grabbing the mic and announcing that rapper Drake was the actual winner.

Please… nobody could be that dumb! They would never send a totally unprepared audience member to do a cold reading during a live broadcast.

The key is to watch Terrence J’s face as she calls both names. Clearly, he was in on the joke that nobody thought was funny.

As publicity stunts go, this one was pretty transparent.

But how about Rihanna’s dumb azz falling for the stunt and even thanking Drake for picking up HER award?

She was way too calm, even as she stepped back when Drake came out to get award. I thought wow she handled that well BUT NO! She was prepared for it…good call Sandra.

i’m not sure if Tif was in on it. she was firing off tweet after tweet on twitter. she said she was crying backstage, and felt bet did her wrong. she did say bet did it on purpose. and if i’m not mistaken at the end of the show kevin hart didn’t apologize to tiffany on behalf of bet. i don’t know, it all seemed suspect.

I don’t think she knew because all night they were reading from the tablet and when she first announced Chris Brown, she looked at the tablet. Someone said something and she looked at the teleprompter and said “Rhianna” then they started playing the music…it was BET’s fault…and at the end of the show, Kevin Hart said that she was right the first time so how was she in on it? Explain please….

I’m really not sure what to believe anymore.

MissJia has a tweet that this Tiffany girl sent weeks ago saying that “Chris Brown is a pussy, and if he wins the award that he’s gonna regret it”

Im with Sandra on this one. To me, it looked like she was acting, or shall I say trying to act. Especially with the facial expression. I dont know what the point of it would be, but I definetely think she was in on it…

I dont know if they set her up or of it was an accident, but after watching the Pre-Show and Award show I know it is VERY possible that it was an accident. This was the most unorganized BET award show I’ve ever seen. How is it possible for an award show to go 30 minutes over???? I’ve seen 5 minutes, 10, minutes but 30??

That was downright wrong of BET. And disgusting as well distasteful. Last night was nothing more than a pathetic ploy to make a known and convicted woman beating moron seem bigger than what is actually is which is a loser and a coon. The only stage where he could get any kind of relevance is of course BET. As for Rihanna,she could consider herself lucky that she wasn’t apart of that mess of a show last nite. Only had a handful of decent performances. Mary J being one of the best! Anywho I digress. Funny how Chris Brown’s bad behavior gets nothing but praise while his victims remain scapegoats. PPl can act like he’s reformed and what he did is a mistake all they want, but I will always look at him as a criminal that should’ve been inducted back into slavery rather than just doing a few pathetic hours of community service and being told that “everyone makes mistakes and it wasn’t your fault and you the next MJ and all good things will come once ppl get over the initial shock that you’re only a (woman beating) “human”. im not surprised bet awards went over i mean everything they do go overtime. just be glad it was organized somewhat unlike the soul train awards they did which took about 6 hours to complete for a 2 half hour show. i dont blame the tiffany girl she doesnt do this for a living and stephen hill took the blame. but people was surprised drake came out he had just performed and they announced rhianna as the winner which is was for her song featuring drake so he was accepting it on their behalf.

What about when Chris Brown slapped Kevin Hart at the end when he said something about it being… “so fun you wanna slap yourself.” CB is dumb, really dumb, for real. Every little action like that just brings back the ghosts of assaults past,and he needs to recognize the eggshells he will walk on as long as he’s pursuing this career.
