Celeb Style: D’banj (Kanye’s new artist)

Kanye West recently signed 2 Nigerian artists to his G.O.O.D. Music label. One of them is D’banj, who, according to Upscale Hype, attended the 2011 BET Awards styled in a pair of Christian Louboutin Mika Raja flats ($2,395) from the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. I would rather see a man dressed like D’banj than one dressed like those untamed beasts who roam the urban landscape with their pants hanging off their butts, like Lil Wayne and that ilk. We have to do better.

I love the outfit and that jacket is the business! However I am not a fan of skinny jeans or slacks How are the ballz going to breathe if they have them locked down like a chasity belt?

I agree! I prefer a clean cut man, but that frill on his shirt, flower printed pants, and band tassels on his shoes arent doing it for me.

Nothing major…I mean he’s not far from looking like a toned down Andre 3000 (and I loves me some Andre ). And while I definitely with TY, I think he looks decent.

Yes. These male celebrities are doing TOO much these days…and I understand couture and fine fashion, but some of that stuff needs to stay where it belongs..ON THE RUNWAY, because transcending it into real life does not work!!! My coworker and I were having a discussion the other day about Hollyweird, an unfortunately 95% of celebrites are dressed by gay stylists. All of my gay friends(male) have extravegant taste, but Hollyweird stylist try too hard to be different and it comes across as just stupid. A perfect example is D Wade. He has been looking a HAM since the finals. Easter suits and all

I have yet to see a decent pair of Christian Louboutin’s for men, it seems like they make cuter shoes for women than they do for men. I don’t care how much it costs those shoes are horrid.
