Sandrarose.com was the first to break the story that Nia Riley (Teddy’s daughter) and Deiondra Sanders (Deion Sanders daughter) might be lovers. After I wrote about them, both women took to their Twitter pages to vehemently deny there ever was an intimate relationship between the two of them.
But today we received an email from someone claiming to be Nia Riley explaining why they are no longer friends. The impostor said Deiondra went on a Twitter rant against her former stepmother Pilar because Deiondra was "obsessed" with Pilar. Apparently, the fake Nia sent the same email to other urban blogs.
The real Nia took to her Twitter page a few moments ago to blast the fake emails.
VH1 gives T.I. and Tiny fans a sneak peek into next week's episode of their hit reality TV series, T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle.
T.I. and Tiny jet off to L.A. to promote T.I.'s new book, Power And Beauty. Tiny laments about their last trip to LA, which ended with their arrest. Her husband, T.I., replies, "Well, I mean it ended bad, but it started good."
In addition to promoting his first book, T.I. drops by Big Boy's neighborhood on Power 106 to give a radio interview. While there, Big Boy, who dropped 250 pounds after undergoing weight loss surgery years ago, collapses on the floor with seizure like activity.
Meanwhile, Tiny lunches with her girls and visits a plastic surgeon for a skin care consultation. Check out the video and don’t forget to tune into the episode on it’s special night and time, Sunday, January 1 at 7:30 p.m ET..
Grand Hustle has released another video trailer for T.I.'s reclamation mixtape "F*ck Da City Up". After enduring accusations of being a snitch for the feds, T.I. is hoping to reclaim the respect that he thinks he lost in the streets when the feds cuffed him up on weapons charges.
T.I. tapped Jeezy to ride with him on the mixtape's gritty title track. The mixtape will be available for free download on T.I.'s website, TrazpMuzik.com, at the stroke of midnight on New Year's day. What do you kids think of the song so far?
Rihanna, 23, is still on holiday in her native Barbados. She was spotted yesterday splashing in the surf with her family and friends at the beach. Rihanna and her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, raised eyebrows yesterday when they expressed their undying love for each other on the social networking website Twitter.com. Rihanna is typical of an abused woman who forms an unhealthy attachment to her abuser, even after he has rearranged her face, because she lacks the self esteem to move on.
Rumors continue to run rampant as Beyonce fans, and even members of the once-respected national media, wonder if Beyonce is in labor and about to give birth.
One gossip blog, which has zero credibility, claims Beyonce is giving birth any minute now at Manhattan's St. Luke's-Roosevelt hospital. In fact, if you rely on the shaky word of that unreliable gossip blog, Beyonce has been in labor at St. Luke's-Roosevelt for 4 days now.
I was a young nurse in 1989 when I took a traveling assignment to NY to work at New York Cornell Medical Center for 6 months. At the end of my assignment -- as I packed my bags to leave the harsh, inhospitable environment of New York forever -- I received a phone call from my travel agency asking if I would be willing to cross the picket line at St. Luke's-Roosevelt hospital where the nurses had gone on strike.
As you know, NBA legend Michael Jordan, 48, got engaged to his young chew toy girlfriend on Christmas day. While discussing the matter with industry veteran Malcolm Lee, I wondered what Jordan's only daughter had to say about the engagement. Malcolm informed me that Jasmine Jordan has a Twitter page. "Why don't you ask her yourself?" he said. So I did. But, alas, she didn't respond.
Can you blame her? Jasmine, who is 6'-0" and loves sports, is very close to her mom, Juanita, whom Jordan divorced so he could devote more time to his passion for chasing white women. Besides, after the way Deion Sanders' daughter, Deiondra, lit up Twitter yesterday, I'm sure Jasmine would prefer to keep her opinions about her soon-to-be stepmom to herself -- at least until the divorce.
They're still talking about the epic catfight between newcomer Erica Mena and Jules Santana's jump off Kimbella Vanderhee. The women were obviously instructed to yank each other's hairpieces off in an overly dramatic fashion. Unfortunately, Kim's clip on hairpiece stayed put, and Erica's mane is growing from her scalp. So it really wasn't a 'fight' in the truest sense of the word. It was more like a wrestling hold.
In episode 7, Erica visits Yandy Smith, aka Don King, to explain what went on between her and Kim -- as if Yandy doesn't already know what went on since she instigated the whole thing.
Erica explains to Yandy that her "career" as some sort of model is more significant than Kimbella's career as a rapper's jump off, or whatever. Erica says to Yandy: “Maybe I did touch a nerve and said something I shouldn’t have.” To which Yandy responds: "Erica, let me paint this picture for you. You're not my friend." Yandy is nobody's friend, and anyone who thinks she is their friend is a poor judge of character.
Entrepreneur Angela Simmons was spotted chatting on her cell phone while running errands on South Beach in Miami, FL today. Simmons rocked a pair of Air Jordan Concord XI, priced at $185. These shoes caused a frenzy when a limited number of Concords were released a couple of days before Christmas.
According to UpscaleHype.com, Angela also wore a black Bottega Veneta Nero Intrecciato Nappa Convertible tote bag, which retails for $4,050.
Beyonce's sister, Solange Knowles (center), her son Daniel Julez, 7, holding hands with his dad, J. Smith, and Tina Knowles were spotted leaving a vintage clothing store in New York City yesterday. Solange covered her face with a shopping bag to hide the fact that she wasn't wearing makeup. Why tip the paps off to your location if you're not camera ready?
It's good to see Solo getting along so well with her baby daddy. Then again, her sister is probably supporting him financially. The Internet was all abuzz with rumors yesterday that Beyonce was giving birth to a baby in a NY hospital. Considering the source of that information, I don't know why anyone would believe that ridiculous story. Doesn't a woman have to be pregnant in order to give birth?
Beyonce and Dipset rapper Jim Jones both have something in common.
The 35-year-old rapper whose fading Hip Hop career peaked in 2006 with the release of his only hit ("We Fly High") is being accused of ripping off one of Canadian rapper Drake's leather jacket designs.
The two jackets do look very similar when placed side by side. The only difference seems to be the fur trim on the hoodie.
Drake recently released his limited edition OVO CDN bomber jacket which retails for a whopping $4,000 USD! The jacket features luxury buffalo leather, a silk-linked interior and a detachable fox fur trim along with real gold-plated hardware. According to Punchbowl blog, the jacket is available for purchase beginning on December 28, in Drake’s hometown, as well as in New York, Tokyo and Osaka.
Now Jim Jones is also hawking a black leather bomber jacket for $175, made from cheaper materials with a design that is similar in almost every detail to Drake's limited edition OVO jacket.
Deion Sanders' oldest daughter, Deiondra, is going IN on her stepmother, Pilar Sanders, at this hour on Twitter.com for slandering her daddy's name and for playing the victim in her multimillion dollar divorce from Sanders.
According to baby girl, Pilar has been feeding insider info about the legendary former NFL star to TMZ.com and other gossip blogs for months. Deiondra wants the slander to stop. Yes, Deiondra really called her former stepmother a "gold digging hoe." I will update this post as the Twitter rants continue.
... with that being said SORRY DADDY. NOW my dad HAS BEEN been nothing but GREAT to PILAR. HER, NOR HER MOM HAS WORKED IN OVER 11 YEARS!! NORMALLY I JUST SIT BACK & WATCH ALL HER LIES & MESS BUT ITS TO WHERE SHE'S GETTING PERSONAL. SHE IS TRYING 2 SLANDER MY DADDY NAME. #STOPIT THEREFORE IM ABOUT TO ADDRESS THE "blog" and the "issue" line by line and tell yall the REAL.... on TMZ today it says PILAR stated SHE DID NOT KNOW about the divorce untill a few days ago which she found out ON like THE divorce has been going on for months so new trending topic #HOWYOUDIDNTKNOW #PILAR #HowYouDidntKnow but yo boxes have been packed for weeks now #RealTalk
Beyonce's husband, aging rap mogul Jay Z, 42, cheered on Kim Kardashian's ex, Kris Humphries and the NJ Nets at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ yesterday. Jigga showed support for his former tour partner, Kanye West, by rocking a pair of his unreleased Nike Air Yeezy 2 Sneakers in black and pink colorway. According to Upscalehype.com, the basketball shoes are expected to be released in March, 2012 and priced at $235.
You might recognize the man sitting next to Jay Z as his former trap partner, Emory Jones, who was sentenced to 16 years hard time in federal prison after he was busted for drug trafficking in Maryland.
Jay Z wrote the judge and coerced him into shaving 37 months off of Emory's sentence by promising Jones a steady job paying $50K annually last year.
Bishop Eddie Long's New Birth Christian Academy is closing its doors after 18 years in operation. The private school's 200 students learned about the school closing in a letter sent home to their parents and signed by Carlton Donald, the board's vice-chair.
"We have operated New Birth Christian Academy for several years with substantial deficits in hopes that the national economic climate would change, however, that change never materialized," read the letter. A few years ago the academy boasted of having one teacher for every eight students.
The school's tuition ranged from $5,253 for New Birth members to $6,198 for non-members, according to the Atlanta Journal.
The school's closing is just another step toward the dismantling of Eddie Long's church empire in Atlanta. The church has laid off staff after losing hundreds of members since Long settled a sexual coercion case filed against him by four former New Birth members who were heterosexual and gay.
Additionally, Bernice King, daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, stepped down as a church elder in May. And 10 former parishioners filed a $1 million lawsuit against Long and the church alleging they lost their life savings in an investment scam.
Long, who temporally stepped down as the church's senior pastor this month, reportedly used the school as a hunting ground for young males to satisfy his sexual appetite. In court documents, Long was accused of coercing the young men with Bible passages and plying at least two of the boys with cash, trips, gifts and cars to loosen their sexual inhibitions.
Earlier this month, the embattled preacher's long-suffering wife, Vanessa, announced she was filing for divorce.
Beyonce Knowles-Carter's baby sister, Solange Knowles, has finally found a man willing to stick around for more than a month. Okay, that was harsh. My apologies for that. But Solange has had difficulty keeping a man in the past. According to BlogXilla, Solange and her boyfriend, Allen, spent a month in Paris, France with Jules, her son from a previous relationship.
Solange posted photos from her French vacation on her blog. Since this is a gossip blog where speculation runs rampant, we wonder if Allan has a job, or if he's sponging off of Solange who is sponging off of her sister Beyonce?
On Monday night, VH1 aired the much-anticipated "fight" between newcomer Erica Mena and Juelz Santana's bustdown, Kimbella Vanderhee. As with Kimbella, Erica was introduced to the cast by Jim Jones' manager, Yandy Smith, aka Don King. It is no coincidence that both women immediately began snatching wigs within 5 minutes of meeting each other.
By now we are all familiar with how these "reality" shows work. Each show has totally scripted "fight" scenes that usually commences when one cast member tosses water on the other one.
But according to Erica, her fight scene may not have been totally scripted. In fact, Erica claims that she was caught completely by surprise, and she thinks she was set up by VH1.
The Boston Celtics dropped their 2nd straight game last night when they lost to the blazing Miami Heat 115-107 at the American Airlines Arena. Boston, whose captain Paul Pierce is out with a bruised left heel, opened their season with a close loss to the NY Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Last night Miami led by as much as 20 points over the hapless Celtics in the 3rd quarter. But the odds on favorite for the 2012 NBA championship blew that lead in the 4th quarter when the Celtics, led by veteran guard Keyon Dooling's 18 points off the bench, mounted a strong comeback.
Rookie Heat guard Norris Cole drew chants of "MVP!" from the crowd when he came off the bench to score 14 of his 20 points in the 4th quarter. Cole's clutch jump shots in the final minute of the game sealed the win for Miami, who are now 2-0.
Miami Heat star LeBron James finished the night with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
But it was his baby mama, Savannah Brinson, who put on a show in the stands with her inappropriate game attire. Gabrielle Union (D. Wade's fiancee) and Adrienne Williams (Chris Bosh's wife) both dressed respectfully, but Savannah's outfit was the talk of Twitter.com.
Before she left home to attend the game, Savannah tweeted a pic of herself wearing a black miniskirt which was more suitable for a cheerleader than for the conservative hometown girl from Cleveland, Ohio.
Yesterday, celebrity gossip website TMZ.com reported that legendary rap artist Heavy D died from a blood clot in the lung (Pulmonary embolus or PE) that was caused by Deep leg vein thrombosis. That terminology is incorrect since deep vein thrombosis can occur anywhere in the body, not just the legs. The correct term is Deep Vein Thrombosis or DVT.
DVT has been in the news lately because several high profile figures have been diagnosed with it, or died recently, including Heavy D and reality TV star Tamar Braxton's husband, Vince Hebert, who survived his bout with DVT and PE.
Pulmonary embolism is usually fatal and involves a blood clot (thrombus) traveling from the legs or arms and into the lungs (PE). People at high risk for DVTs are those who live a sedentary lifestyle (couch potatoes), sit for long periods of time at cubicle desks or travel long distances on planes.
Pulmonary embolisms are often misdiagnosed as something else — such as pneumonia or cardiac arrest. There are law firms that base their entire practice around misdiagnosed pulmonary embolism cases.
Anyone can be diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis. Other risk factors that predispose people to DVTs, include pregnancy, obesity, dehydration, crushing injuries, or people with strokes or heart conditions.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I'm still on vacay, but I stopped in to update you on legendary rapper Heavy D's cause of death. As we suspected, he died of blood clots in his lung that traveled from his legs (deep vein thrombosis, or DVT). This is the same clotting disorder that Tamar Braxton's husband, Vince, was recently hospitalized with. I will update you if there are any further developments...

According to the NY Daily News, rapper Heavy D saw a doctor the day before he died tragically at age 44.
Rap legend Heavy D knew something was seriously wrong with his health the day before he suddenly collapsed and died Tuesday, officials told the Daily News.
“He had gone to the doctor the day before,” Ed Winter, Assistant Chief of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office, told the Daily News. “He had what appeared to be like flu-like symptoms.”
“He was taking medication, so we want to see what the levels were,” Winter said.
Heavy D, whose real name was Dwight Arrington Myers, had just gotten back from a trip to England. “He said he had a touch of pneumonia, maybe from traveling," is cousin, Ruddy Phillips, told The News.
But Heavy D also could have died from a pulmonary embolism, a fatal consequence of sitting for prolonged periods of time during long distance travel. Pulmonary embolisms are often misdiagnosed as something else -- such as pneumonia or cardiac arrest.
In fact, some attorneys base their entire practice around misdiagnosed pulmonary embolism cases.
According to the Daily News, an autopsy was completed Wednesday morning, but a preliminary cause of death won't be released until toxicology tests are performed. The tests could take up to six weeks to complete.
In 2005, Cleveland Browns rookie Braylon Edwards made a promise to 100 eighth graders -- a promise that he would keep 6 years later.
Edwards announced that he'd give $10,000 in scholarships to 100 area eighth-graders if they could graduate high school with at least a 2.5 grade-point average and 15 hours' community service.
According to the LA Times, 79 of those students met the criteria and began their first year of college in campuses all across the country, including Harvard.
"Without this scholarship, I probably wouldn't be here," Bowling Green freshman David Gholston told ESPN's Rick Reilly.
Now, most people would think writing $790,000 in checks would be enough, but Edwards went one step further. In addition to the $10,000, he provided each of the students with a laptop computer.
"I'm supposed to give people a chance like I was given a chance," Edwards said.
But that's not the only amazing part of the season. Edwards is now a member of the San Francisco 49ers. His salary for this season? $1 million. In other words, he has donated almost his entire salary this season to help those 79 kids. Source
Thousands of frenzied shoe enthusiasts battled it out in long lines all over the country as they wait to be among the first to buy the new retro Air Jordans X1s. They couldn't wait a few days when the supplies are replenished because they lack self esteem and they need the hideous shoes to impress their friends and boost their own egos. How pathetic.
There are reports of pepper spraying and fisticuffs as lines queued up for hours, and some for days. According to celebrity gossip blog TMZ.com, from Baltimore to Washington to Atlanta, people waiting in lines for the new Nike Air Jordan shoe are getting CRAZY violent -- except at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles.
TMZ spoke with several people at the Bev Center who have been waiting in line for hours ... and some for days ... and they all seem to say the same thing -- it's been cold, but everyone has been extremely cordial.
It seems to be a sharp contrast from other shoe lines across the country -- so far, there have been reports of pepper spraying at a mall in Washington, a brawl in Kentucky and girl fights in North Carolina. Source
The shoes have been re-released numerous times over the years. The $180 shoes quickly sold out after midnight today, and are currently selling on eBay for $400.
Yesterday we posted pics of Gabrielle Union, 39, in a string bikini playing in the surf on Miami Beach with Dwyane Wade's sons, Zion and Zaire. What we didn't know at the time was that LeBron James' baby mama, Savannah Brinson, 25, and her sons, were with Gabby on the beach.
The reason being is that Savannah was covered from head to toe in a grey hoodie with black jogging pants in 80 degree weather.
According to sources in Miami, Savannah took offense at people criticizing her for trying to keep up with her more promiscuous friends who don't care how they dress in public (such as La La Anthony). Friends say the disapproval stung Savannah and she made a vow never to show her skin in public again -- or at least until her sons are fully grown with wives of their own.
We don't know how true that is, but it does seem that Savannah is dressing more respectfully these days. Good for her!
Troubled singer Rihanna premiered her music video for her 2nd single "U Da One" off her album, Talk That Talk. TTT has managed to sell only 320K units after 4 weeks on the charts, despite the fact that Rihanna has over 10 million followers on the social networking website Twitter.com.
The Melina-directed video is more of the same from Rihanna, slutty imagery juxtaposed with elementary lyrics backed by a simplistic track, and Rihanna's dependency on pot (see screen grab above).
The late rapper Notorious B.I.G.'s seemingly prophetic song, "You're Nobody Until Somebody Kills You," comes to mind as Atlanta's underground rap scene grieve over the death of rapper Slim Dunkin, 24.
Dunkin, real name Mario Hamilton, was virtually unknown to the rest of us outside of the underground scene, until he was killed.
Police say Hamilton was shot once in the chest -- reportedly over a piece of candy at a southeast recording studio on Dec. 16.
Hamilton, who was 6-8, towered over his shorter assailant who produced a gun and shot Hamilton. Friends loaded the mortally wounded rapper into a car and rushed him to Grady hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say about 20-30 people were present inside the recording studio on Memorial Drive when the gun went off. But no witnesses came forward.
On Thursday, police identified Atlanta rapper Young Vito, 28, as the gunman. Police say Vito, real name Vinson Hardimon, is in danger, and he is being urged to turn himself in.
Angelina Jolie is catching heat for her choice in hairstyles for 6-year-old daughter, Zahara. The little girl recently debuted a head full of weave at a family outing. The hair extensions normally take hours to braid and the procedure can be painful, especially if the child is tender headed.
“If Angelina wants Zahara to be in touch with her roots and have her hair braided then she can do that with the child’s own hair and she doesn’t need to add extensions,” celebrity groomer DaRico Jackson told RadarOnline.com.
“She is far too young for that and Angelina is creating insecurity in the little girl that what she has is not good enough.
“Growing up with siblings who have long flowing hair, Zahara may grow to feel that her own natural hair is not pretty enough, and that without the fake hair she is not beautiful. She should be made to embrace who she is.”
Jackson added: “There are many cute styles that Zahara can have without adding fake hair at such a tender age.”
I agree, but many women in the black community put weave extensions in their daughter's hair. It's a matter of convenience for women who don't have the time or money to take better care of their children's hair.
Yesterday, T.I. released this trailer for his much-anticipated mixtape titlted F*ck Da City Up. The mixtape drops at midnight on T.I.'s official website, Trapmuzik.com, and on Twitter.com.
I've never heard of a trailer for a mixtape, but we're talking about the innovator, T.I., who sets the standard for these other lessors to try and catch up.
