Beyonce Pepsi contest

Beyonce’s devout fans can win a chance to join the singer onstage during halftime of Super Bowl 2013 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 3.

Pepsi announced a photo contest on Friday that will give 100 fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to take the stage with the Grammy-winning superstar as she performs during halftime.

Pepsi’s contest will give 50 fans — and 1 guest each — a chance to submit photos of themselves dancing to Beyonce’s music. The photos will be used in a TV ad introducing Beyonce’s halftime performance.

Beyonce signed a $50 million deal to promote Pepsi products to her fans. The deal sparked protests from parent groups who object to the singer encouraging youngsters to drink the sugary, high-calorie beverage.

Childhood obesity is high on the priority list of First Lady Michelle Obama, who is friends with Beyonce and her husband, Jay Z.

View contest details at www.pepsi.com/halftime. The deadline is Jan. 11 if you want to appear onstage with Beyonce. Jan. 19 is the deadline if you want to submit photos for the TV ad.
