I spotted music industry veteran Kevin Wales and his artist, R&B singer Demarious "D" Cole while dining with celebrity photog Prince Williams (of ATLPics.net) at the Shops at Buckhead in Atlanta on Sunday.

Cole, 16, is an up-and-coming R&B artist who is known locally for his hit song "Freak Like That" (see music video below). He has opened on tour for Chris Brown, Ludacris, Rich Homie Quan, and more.

Wales founded independent record label Worldwide Entertainment in the 1990s. Some of the bold name artists he signed includes Monica Brown, 112, Jagged Edge, Faith Evans and boy band B5.

Wale's artists were signed to Sean "Puffy" Combs through WWE's distribution deal with Bad Boy Records.

Celebrities and industry tastemakers flock to the Shops at Buckhead's trendy collection of high end boutiques and eateries in the heart at Buckhead.

Other celebs spotted at Shops at Buckhead in recent months include T.I. and Tiny, Keyshia Cole, Monica and Shannon Brown, Chris and Eudoxie Bridges, and numerous professional athletes.

    Further, MOST of the people there are window shopping. The boutiques are overrated, and to be quite honest, that entire shopping mall fell off YEARS AGO.

    If shopping in the midst of hundreds of loud hood rats is some sort of exclusive shopping experience in your mind, Sandra, then fine--have at it. But the truth is, that shopping center is just as ratchet as The West End Or Greenbriar Mall but with pricier stores.

    And The Shops--just like the rest of Buckhead--is overrated, overpriced, and turning ghetto.

    They hyped up the development for years, and it definitely is eye-catching. What I meant was the area has been falling off for years, not the development. I no longer understand why Buckhead is still being hyped up.

    I fell for the allure and charm of Buckhead back in '02 but am now totally over the traffic, the over-development, and the invading masses of hood rats.
