Rihanna Kicks Off Her ‘ANTI’ HEAT (Half Empty Arena Tour) in Jacksonville

After numerous delays and cancelations (due to slow ticket sales), washed up singer Rihanna kicked off her HEAT (Half Empty Arena Tour) in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday.

Thatgrapejuice.net reports that Rihanna sounded like “struggle and stress” on Saturday night. He added that Rihanna’s HEAT Tour is better suited for concert goers with hearing loss.

Rihanna’s HEAT tour is probably the first half empty arena tour by an artist in support of a flop album.

Thatgrapejuice.net — The Bajan sensation has much to make up to fans following the rockiest of roll-out’s for the trek and its housing album ‘ANTI.’

Hoping to right the well-documented wrongs, the 28-year-old journeyed through smashes such as ‘Diamonds’ and ‘Umbrella,’ as well as tackling newer numbers ala ‘Work’ and ‘Kiss It Better.’

Per the array of costumes, the production is unsurprisingly pleasing to the eye. What about the ear, though?

Sadly, Rih once again sounded like struggle and stress, case in point the footage below.

I don’t know about Jacksonville but I went to her concert last night in Tampa FL and it was a full house. Maybe sold out. But being as objective as I can be…. Her show was wonderful. She sung live all her songs and she sounded great . Her whole production was grade A. And she looked beautiful. I don’t have anything bad to say about the show. I’m happy I got to see her for a second time.

Empty seats are not the measurement for a sell out show. You could sell out at 30 thousand tickets but hold the concert in an 80 thousand. This is why it’s better to do the concert in small venues like arenas or even smaller than that.

I mean what do you expect? Her fans have let her get away with being a horrible performer for so long, that they wouldn’t know a good concert if they saw it. Rihanna and slay when referring to her concerts just doesn’t go together. As far as that lie about the Tampa show being sold out, Tickemaster says it was at 81%. Plus there were tickets being sold for $1-$10 on craigslist. There was also tickets being sold for dirt cheap on Groupon!
