I don’t think this man’s life story may be appreciated without acknowledging that the was born one name, died another and the story that comes with it. Similar to many leaders, he was so many great things and flawed in between like all of us. He found peace within himself and still stuck to his beliefs. He was great friends with people of many faiths, cultures and races without discrediting his integrity. If you can’t remember what name he started with, you may not really appreciate the name he left with. Think about it. Lets be respectful this one time and leave the fukkery for a Monday morning blah post. Happy Weekend.

I remember him how he wanted to be remembered…..job well done Ali! He lived a life that allows him a legacy he can be proud of. He gave us something we can stand and be proud of. A real legend…way more than a sports hero, a hero to my people.

The first time I saw the video above my eyes were wide. I read about Ali before but, I was in awe seeing him in action. The man was beyond intelligent, quick, witty and 100% correct. As a Muslim , I think he represented the faith better that anyone , he gets what Islam is about .

I will never forget the day our late King had a day for Ali , nobody went to school , nobody worked , it was a national holiday and we got ( not me ) to see him drive around the city with the King .

Mr. Ali was my son’s most FAVE ever. He collects posters, t-shirts and books of/about him. This morning I told him CNN was running a special about him, and my kid broke my heart when he said, “I can’t watch that Mama.” He really was an inspiration to all generations.
