It’s very easy to dislike actress Leslie Jones. Her abrasive personality and coon antics make her an easy target for Internet trolls.
The Saturday Night Live veteran played the “victim” yesterday on Twitter.com when her racist followers dragged her by her edges.
It all started when Jones, 48, lashed out at openly gay conservative blogger Milo Yiannopoulos (@Nero) for his critical review of the all-female remake of Ghostbusters, starring Jones.
His review, titled “Teenage Boys With Tits: Here’s My Problem With Ghostbusters,” doesn’t even mention Jones’s name.
Jones, who is rumored to be a lesbian, retaliated by calling Milo a “fag” and wishing death on “faggots” in a now-deleted tweet.
Despite all the advice from sensible Twitter followers begging her to turn the other cheek, the actress spewed profanity and insults at her followers.
After her mostly white male followers unleashed the memes, Jones looked to Black Twitter for sympathy. But few black people took her side.
After all, this is the same woman who whined about white designers refusing to dress her for premieres. When black designers reached out to her, she ignored them.
The same people she shucks and jives for are the ones who came for her neck last night.
