Wiz Khalifa sparked unrest on Black Twitter when he said straight men should avoid eating bananas. The rapper made the controversial statements during an interview on NY radio station The Breakfast Club on Wednesday.
Wiz suggested that straight men shouldn’t eat bananas because it made them look gay.
“If you bite a banana, you suspect n—a,” he said.
“I’m just trying to help you out bro. If you in public, and you eating a banana, you gotta break it into pieces.”
His comments didn’t go over well on Black Twitter. One Twitter user wrote: “Wiz Khalifa said in an interview that it’s gay for men to eat bananas. .. can you imagine your masculinity being THAT fragile? C’mon Wiz”.
Wiz visited The Breakfast Club on Wednesday to promote his new album, Rolling Papers 2.
