Social media users are upset over photos of celebrity dads showing affection for their daughters. Specifically, people are angry over photos of NBA star Dwyane Wade and soccer superstar David Beckham.
“Is it wrong to kiss your children on the lips?” A writer for Us Weekly asked after reading the angry comments under photos of Dwyane and David kissing their daughters.
In one photo, the retired soccer star is seen pecking his 7-year-old daughter on the lips.
The comment section was flooded with angry comments, saying “This is not appropriate” and “not on the lips!”
It was a similar story over on Gabrielle Union’s Instagram page where she posted a photo of her husband, Dwyane, kissing his firstborn daughter, Kaavia James.
One IG user wrote: “Don’t be kissing the baby in the mouth germs too soon for that @gabunion @dwyanewade”. Another user wrote “adult germs whether it be parents or not can be more dangerous for newborns immune system to fight off.”
And another IG user reminded Gabby and Dwyane of a news report about an infant who contracted viral meningitis and died after being kissed by an infected family member.
Question: Do you still kiss your children on the lips?
