Many of you said Gabrielle Union would exploit her 11-year-old stepson, Zion Wade, after he came out at a Miami Pride Parade earlier this month. Gabrielle is already making the media rounds.

The 47-year-old actress explained why the “entire household” went to the Miami pride parade to support the 11-year-old on April 7.

Zion and Gabrielle were accompanied by Zion’s older brother Zaire, 17, and their cousin Dahveon Morris, 17.

“It feels normal,” Gabrielle told Us Weekly exclusively.”My mom took me to my first pride at eight years old. We moved to San Francisco and it’s kind of part of being a global citizen.”

She expressed her dismay after some social media users criticized her and husband Dwyane Wade for exposing the boy to an adult sexual lifestyle.

“People talk a lot about diversity and inclusion, but they don’t actually mean it. In our household, we mean that, and that’s why the entire household went to pride.”

Former NBA star Dwyane Wade, 37, did not attend the parade, but he supported his son on his Instagram page.

“Zion had his [own] cheering section today,” he wrote. “Wish I was there to see you smile kid! It’s a family thing.”

The entire family, including Dwyane’s youngest son, Xavier, 5, attended his final home game at Miami’s American Airlines Arena last week.
