Kim Fields clarified reports that she is planning the memorial service for the late Beth Chapman, star of the reality show, Dog the Bounty Hunter.

Fields, 50, faced backlash from social media users who claim Chapman and her husband Duane "Dog" Chapman are racists.

Chapman died on June 26 after a long battle with throat cancer at age 51. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday in Colorado. Thousands are expected to attend the service, which will be live-streamed on WGNAmerica.com.

In an exclusive interview with ET on Thursday, Fields clarified that she has a small role in the planning of the memorial service. Fields attends the same church where the Chapmans worshipped, the Heritage Christian Center. Fields is in charge of visual and social media content for the church.

"In the name of service, we have different roles that we are executing," Fields told ET. "That being said, my role here at the church is leading up visual and social media and content. Of course, any time there is service here at the church, I spearhead an awesome team that's responsible for everything that goes on camera, as well as the streaming. So, when those components got pulled into the Chapman service, that's me and my department. That is all."

Maybe kim “cant relate” to the racism exhibited by dog..

  • T Willis

    Why do you say that?

  • Blaque Mahogany

I heard about this, but people were acting like she was going out of her way to organize the memorial. However, what I gather from the write up, her church is hosting the memorial. She's in like the media department at the church, thus her role in the memorial.

    Nothing to see here.

  • pure_rachet

    people mad over everything. Sheesh.

  • Bushbabe

Black people are thick sometime.. they vote for Democrats who like Biden was against bussing. They love Hillary even though she called them super predators and her husband then president mass incarcerated many black men. But they have a problem with Kim planning someone's funeral. Did everyone escape the plantation and get freed or arr y'all still trapped? Send a bird and let me know so I can get you freed.

So she can't forgive the woman in death smh I thought that was a part of Christianity. Them crazy fools on social media always mad about something

She is receiving backlash for services in her ministry within her church? What are examples of the backlash? ...im sure they're ignorant AF

    ALL OF THIS^^^^^^

  • Li-Wright

Oh geez....that word "racists" is wayyyy over-used....Kim should do whatever her heart tells her to do. Don't answer the critics.

  • Bushbabe

The Dow Jones crosses 27000 milestone and black people are to busy being a victim and singing "wade in the water" to notice. Keep tap dancing to the tune of the Democrats slavery song. To much of an oppressed person to even try and make money . You need to have brains to have generational wealth not a victimhood.

  • Dontgetdraggedhoe??

Just assuming. Dog is known for throwing racial slurs out. One of his son years ago exposed him and leaked a recorded phone call where dog was letting it all hang out. Im saying that while they might be racist, kim might feel differently about it since shes their friend amd church sister

  • Shira Harding-James

Memorial and burial are two different things.... at memorial services the body is not present

  • Bushbabe

500 shares of a $20 stock costs you $10,000, assuming you only use your capital. If you use leverage, which most brokerages will give you at 2 to 1 and some brokers will give you at 3 to 1, you lower the capital requirement. With 2 to 1 leverage, you need$5000 to make the $2500 profit. If you all get out of your feelings long enough to take advantage of the successful economy you would be better off. But I see your waiting for the Democrats to flood the border with more victims.

  • Scromes1212

Lol this ain't MSNBC lol it's SR. Most of these folks don't have ten grand sitting around to invest.

  • Bushbabe

In the King James Version of the Bible the text reads: For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Please re read if your are not right with God and still feel like condemning someone for thier service in Christ name.

That’s not what he said. He was asked specifically what his thoughts were on female rappers today and his response was that nobody stood out to him because they all rap about the same thing and that he felt somebody needed to step out of the box and be different. He compared today’s female rappers as “rapping strippers” meaning they all rap about the same thing. He didn’t even mention anybody by name.

It’s sad that she she got ripped and had to clarify her role and why!

Dog and any racist remarks he’s made is on him! The celebration of life memorial for his wife is a separate entity!

You think everyone who you spend money with, do business with, work with, partner with fricken like you, mutually respect you?

  • Rhyme and Reason

Thank you! We all have opinions, views, and complaints about other people!

We need to separate the institution (systems) of racism (prejudice, biases, disparities, obstruction) from painting ALL PEOPLE AND SITUATIONS with that same brush stroke!

  • Rhyme and Reason

You really see people in their nature in the hospitality industry!

I absolutely think someone who isn’t racist could be married to someone who is. I’ve seen it personally.

  • Miss Thang

Well maybe she is a Christian first and s black woman second.

  • Rhyme and Reason

A lot of BLACK people who have 401K plans are doing QUITE well!

It has little to do with the current administration, when we basically crashed (near 1927 depression fall) in 2009, when the Republicans held office for 8 years during this grave mismanagement that started with a surplus!

I’m not a fan of Destructive Democrats (nor Republicans) because we’re CAPITALISTS! Follow the money, and there is no isle!

  • Blaque Mahogany

I'm not arguing the point...she can be whatever she wants to be.

  • ReadingIsFundamental4Real

She should not have clarified this. Beth has been judged already; Christ have mercy. Heaven forbid we pray for the souls of thoughtless minds.

  • Rhyme and Reason

Well, this is the “song and dance” the media loves to report on us too! Then there are blacks who make a substantial living off of diagnosing black plight!

Less attention or coverage is placed on Black Women leading in starting new businesses, which is a serious means to acquiring generational wealth!

Millennials who are buying in gentrified neighborhoods or flipping property, in growing numbers. I see it in my hood and family’s mega-church (many Black movers and shakers), and it’s awesome!

And, Periscope is becoming an excellent wealth-builder for Black entrepreneurs selling Life-coaching plans, supplements, speaking engagements, and other services and merchandise!

Black YouTubers monetizing channels (esp. makeup and hair stylists), some raking in a serious cash flow, and becoming recognized industry influencers! Many investing in real estate!

Home-based businesses are growing as many blacks find their niche, from baking to graphics to e-commerce! Being in control of your income potential and savings is critical to generational wealth-building. A job loss or illness can wipe out your savings or lifestyle!

Black men and women making moves, cutting deals in Hollywood, or the constant coverage of Black CEOs with Fortune 500 companies!

The ball players who are creating generational wealth outside of sports, or all of the black-owned daycare centers and nursery schools, opening spas, successfully launching food product companies with Whole Foods, Albertsons, and other national chains!

With approx. 40 million Blacks, a half of mil incarcerated, Nielsen’s stay reporting on our consumerism, also other credible, positive data about us!

So no “woe is me” story from me and many other Black men and women! But we don’t report the news or share positive facts with mainstream America. Dems and GOP, a two-headed Beast!

  • Brooklyn23

    Yep

  • Uaint Black

You sound stupid AF and entitled. You think most people, Black or white, can afford stocks? The rich are getting richer off of that. There's nobody driving Lyft or Uber with the funds to buy a $1000 single share of AMZN or GOOGLE. GTFOH.

  • Brooklyn23

I get it this is kinda like a show me who you friends are and I'll tell you who you are type comment. But thats not always the case. I have a mind of my iwn so even if I dealt with someone that had his own views and ways about stuff, that doesn't mean I'll cosign that shit.

  • Uaint Black

You think most people have 10K to invest? And how long will it take most people to turn make 50% profit on a 5K investment. Most $20 stocks aren't even worth that and move very slow. Black people need to start there OWN BUSINESSES not invest in WHITE ones just making white people more RICH. GTFOH.

  • Uaint Black

So you get on your own nerves? How about white people? You're cool with everything they do.

  • Rhyme and Reason

Well, my beliefs about racism doesn’t bother me (offend me), as much as the actions, like the cops taking a mass killer to Burger King to get a bite to eat, after killing off, a bible study group!

I believe her views may or may not have been the same (don’t know), or sometimes people change their views from what was embedded in them from family and community!

I have worked with racists, and no matter how cool they might be, I see that side, often enough! It’s how most are raised I believe.

And, don’t let them have worked in the hood like flipping property, dealing with section 8 renters, first responders, etc., these individuals will have a jaded or negative view of ALL black people! But, that’s their opinion, and all the hatred that comes with it!

I talk to white people, so they will tell you how they really feel! Those same racist individuals often share valuable information or resources, and their pain, insecurities and white angst!

Sorry for the long post, it was a VERY important comment you made!

Everyone from the time he was a young child failed R Kelly.

They overlooked and turned a blind eye to his mental deficits and childhood abuse he suffered in order to exploit him for capitalist gain. Everyone knew he was unwell and deviant as he grew up from abused child to adult predator of children.

Enabled by everyone around him to engage in sexual criminality as long as he could produce and provide others with monetary gain, R Kelly was doomed.

People need to look at the bigger picture. Help troubled abused inner city black boys to heal, place their health and well being over their exploitable skills, and by doing so the destruction R Kelly is symbolic of can be prevented.

  • Blaque Mahogany

Is there no exception/limit to this mind "of my own" logic. Would you be able to hang around a murderer, rapist, pedophile? Hypothetically if you knew for a fact that R. Kelly slept with and pissed on little girls, you would still hang out with him?

Personally, I believe that like minded people hang together. I think a lot of people are in denial about how similar they are to their bottom of the barrel friends. I believe when you have strong morals/values (whatever they are) you simply are not going to choose to be around people that are contrary to that. But that's just my opinion.

  • Blaque Mahogany

I appreciate you taking the time to respond...and I appreciate you doing so respectfully.

I understand where you are coming from. However, personally I believe that racists are vile human beings. Particularly the type that are actively racists and discriminatory. I believe that you can tell a lot about a person from not only what they do, but the behaviors or beliefs they tolerate or entertain. In other words, if you are ok with someone denigrating, targeting, and affecting violence against an entire race of people, I think that says a lot about you. You may claim not to be racist, hell you may even tolerate other races, but I think at a minimum you agree to some extent.

I have no tolerance or respect for racist or racist sympathizers.

  • Brooklyn23

Now, see... I TRY to make it a habit of not cussin' ignorant b*tches like you out but, as a Christian, I'm aware that He looks beyond all my faults when I tell you to suck a fat babies d*ck. The F*ck are YOU to judge ME while quoting the bible as an aide in telling me NOT to judge? You see how stupid asf you look?

TRICK, if I support Kim Fields and spend MY money on that which she benefits from, then I am well within my rights to need to know what, or who, she supports before I CONTINUE that support.

By this stupid a$$ed analogy, dumb h*e, you would be applying those same "principles" to the racists... so, if you found out that your local ice cream shop supported the KKK, you would still take your black dollars in there?

Is THAT what your selective Christian a$$ would be doing? No, trick, you would go elsewhere because you likely ain't applying love AND dollars to someone who supports the oppression of your fake a$$... so, if I demand answers from the perceived racist when it comes to my dollars, I demand the same accountability from those who SUPPORT the racists.

YOU do what you choose with your dollars and your time. I'll handle mine.

Now, I only allot 15 minutes per day to entertain ignorance, b*tch, and this response used up 4 of them. So, I won't be replying anymore because I'm sure I'll need those additional 11 minutes before the day is over.

  • Rhyme and Reason

You make valid points, nothing for me to dispute because we view racism differently, and in truth, you’re ABSOLUTELY right, it is deplorable! I think we need people like you in this world because your thinking affects change!

But, I look at the source when haters talk, which automatically diminishes a person to ignorance and low self-esteemed individuals!

Systematic racism (failing schools, industrial prison complex, rogue cops, food deserts, the racist record industry) angers me way more than racial slurs.

I may be a racial sympathizer, may tolerate and accept racists because they do exist, they are a reality, an awful truth!

But, I LOVE BEING BLACK, and know my individual impact, and the collective contribution Black People make in this country! Racism didn’t stop me from getting an education, spiritual enlightenment, outreach, working, or having my own business, or impede my standard of living! I volunteer and help others!
