I was sent this video to post and at first I thought, “Oh, just another Twerk Song.” But this kid can really sing! As adults, we might not understand the whole “twerking” fad, but twerking has been around forever. This is nothing new.

Tameka “Tiny” Harris and Pretty Hustle Management introduced new girl group French Kiss to Atlanta movers and shakers at an Atlanta nightclub over the weekend. French Kiss consists of four females who are targeted at a slightly older demographic than Tameka’s girl group the OMG Girlz. French Kiss performed live on Sunday at the 595 North Club on Atlanta’s south side. What do you think of their look?

    Singer Tiara Thomas, best known for her duet with Wale on his single “Bad”, explained how the groupie anthem came about.

    “I was in Atlanta with one of my friends I went to school with; she was my manager at the time. She’s like,’Hey, let’s go to Atlanta for spring break, just to go somewhere,’ Thomas recalls. We went and I had a fake ID. I was under 21 at the time and we just wanted to go to the club. So we went to the club and Wale was there. It was like, ‘Hey, there’s Wale, let’s take a picture with him.’ Wale listened to it, and he really liked it,”

    According to an industry insider, BET is grooming Atlanta rapper Miss Mykie to take over the ’106 & Park’ hosting duties from outgoing co-hosts Rocsi Diaz and Terrence J. According to the insider, BET is “cleaning house” in advance of Rocsi and Terrence’s departure. Miss Mykie is among the fresh new faces that the BET honchos are looking for to revive sagging TV ratings.

    Bruno Mars’ Sisters Sign Recording, Modeling Deals

    You may not know who The Lylas are, but you will. Short for Love You Like A Sister, The Lylas have the sound, and more importantly, the look that the record labels are searching for. In addition to signing a recording contract, the Filipina and Puerto Rican-American singing quartet also signed a modeling contract with Robinsons Department Stores.

    The Robinsons Department Store ad campaign will launch later this year, according to ABS-CBN News.

    Not content with being in the shadow of their brother Peter, better known as singer Bruno Mars, The Lylas are working on releasing their debut album in October.
