All week VH1 has been teasing the Basketball Wives Facebook followers about a special event coming Thursday involving the cast of the 'Basketball Wives' (the boring Miami crew, not the LA cast).

And, maybe due to that fact, VH1 didn't get much of a response to the teasers on facebook.

See what the BIG NEWS is after the break.

Troubled musician Kanye West leads the Grammy Award nominations with 7, but the bad boy producer was a no-show at last night's live concert warmup to the 2012 Grammy's in February.

While Kanye's hit all-star single, "All of the Lights," was nominated for Song of the Year, his critically acclaimed album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, which featured 'Lights', was snubbed in the Best Album category.

But Bon Iver, who was a complete stranger to many of us before collaborating with Kanye on MBDTF, was nominated for 4 Grammy's, including Song of the Year -- which Kanye is also nominated for -- and Record of the Year, which we assume is different from Song of the Year.

Fading rapper-turned-actor LL Cool J, 43, (pictured above) attended the concert after party with his long-suffering buxom wife, Simone Smith. I bet she has a lot of stories to tell, such as why LL Cool J is bleaching his skin when he's already a light alabaster color. Or why he still calls himself "Ladies Love" Cool J, when they don't.

Attention whore Beyonce recently sat down with Katie Couric for an interview on ABC's 20/20 where she basically rehashes what she's already talked about in every other appearance that she's made. It isn't clear why Beyonce hungers for so much attention lately.

Every move Beyonce has made over the past 3 months has been orchestrated to put her front and center, in the national spotlight. This kind of attention-seeking behavior can't be healthy for her.

The rumors must be true that Jay Z ignores Beyonce when they're out of the public eye. And that he spends most of his time in the studio just to get away from her. Can you blame him?

Police are investigating whether online "Twitter beef" led to the shooting death of a popular 25-year-old man at a Southwest Atlanta apartment complex early Sunday morning.

According to the Atlanta Journal, Kevin James Scott, 25, was shot twice in the chest by an unknown assailant and left to die in a 4th floor hallway of the City View apartments in Mechanicsville. Police responded to a 911 call at 259 Richardson Street around 3 a.m.

Scott was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

Scott was affectionately known as "Big Kevin" to his many friends and family. His brother, "Westside Chris", is a well-known businessman and close associate of superstar rapper Jeezy.

Within hours of the shooting, friends of Scott took to the social networking site Twitter.com to tweet their condolences and to rage at the senseless violence.

His friends say Scott and a local man argued back and forth on Twitter.com just hours before his death. At one point, Scott tweeted code words revealing his location, and he seemed to taunt the man who later deleted his Twitter page.

A remembrance event will be held for Scott on Friday, Nov. 18, at Cream Bar & Bistro at 1919 B Metropolitan Parkway in Atlanta, according to club promoter Tracye Bryant of KBD Entertainment. Also, a candlelight vigil will be held in his honor tomorrow night (Thursday, Nov. 16) at Mays high school.

Anyone with information about the killing is asked to contact APD at 404-546-4235 or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477.

This is a friendly reminder that the world is scheduled to end tomorrow.

According to radio preacher Harold Camping's latest prediction, "Rapture 2.0" will begin just after midnight tonight in some parts of the world. It isn't clear when the Rapture will reach the U.S.

In an announcement on his Family Radio Network website, Camping said the world will end -- for sure -- on October 21st, as God unleashes fire, brimstone and deadly earthquakes, though not necessarily in that order.

Some of you might be skeptical, but it is strongly suggested that you get your affairs in order... just in case.

According to the AJC, Timothy Lloyd, pastor Oakhurst Church in Decatur, is taking the latest Doomsday prediction seriously. Well, sort of:

"I am working on my sermon for Sunday," he said with a smile. "I have compassion on the folks who get fooled by this stuff because life is tough and these predictions give people a glimmer of hope. It gives folks a solid sense, an assurance of where things are going, because they can actually point to a date on a calendar."

Apparently, May 21st was just another dry run as the predicted day of the Rapture came and went without much fanfare. But according to fire and brimstone radio preacher Harold Camping, who has predicted the last 3 Raptures -- Oct. 21st is the real Judgment Day.

In an announcement on his Family Radio Network website, Harold Camping stands by his earlier predictions that the world will end on Friday, Oct. 21. Originally, Camping had predicted hourly earthquakes and God's judgment on May 21, to be followed by months of torment on Earth for those individuals left behind. Using numerical codes extracted from the Bible, Camping set the date for the end of everything for Oct. 21. [Source]

According to Camping, there were earthquakes on May 21st -- only instead of shaking the Earth, God shook mankind "with fear," he wrote in a post titled "What Happened on May 21?"

Only a few Souls left their earthly possessions (and their dogs) during the previous day of Atonement.

The last time Camping predicted the 2nd Coming of Christ, the media captured the fervent preparations all over the world. But it was not all fun and games as one innocent child may have lost his life due to Camping's prediction.

Julianne McCrery, 42, of Texas, apparently suffocated her 6-year-old son, Camden Pierce Hughes, before driving to Maine and dumping his body in a ravine. The boy's death sparked rampant speculation that McCrery, a bible thumping religious zealot, sacrificed her son in preparation for the rapture.

Rappers Nicki Minaj and Pitbull attended the 2011 American Music Awards Nominees Press Conference at JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles yesterday (Oct. 11). Nicki looked extremely bored during the press conference. She was nominated for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album, while Pitbull picked up nods for Favorite Latin Music Artist and Favorite Pop or Rock Male Artist.

Pitbull, whose "Give Me Everything" lyrics "Locked up like Lindsay Lohan" upset the actress, plans to fly a bevy of Miami beauties to perform behind him during the telecast.

It's hard to get 60 women from Miami on a plane after they were partying the night before and bring that vibe out there," he joked. "But that's definitely what we're looking for: We're looking for a lot of energy, something very sexy, sophisticated, powerful — and get ready."

La La Anthony, 32, received a big hug from proud hubby, Carmelo Anthony, as they celebrated the opening day of La La's new off-Broadway play, "Love, Loss & What I Wore" at the West Side Theatre in New York City yesterday. Someone forgot to tell 'Melo that it is customary to give the leading lady flowers on opening night of a play. Oh well, he'll learn.

Later, the couple went to the after party at B. Smith with family and friends, including La La's lesbun cousin, Dice, who is in Atlanta to host a lesbun party at GLOW nightclub on Buford Hwy tonight.
