Remember when the iPhone was all the rage last year and people took off from work to stand in line all night so they could be the first to drop $600 on a cell phone? Well, Chanel has topped Apple with its own designer phone that will cost you your firstborn child when it hit stores this Summer.

The sleek Chanel Choco phone looks like a translucent Rubic's cube when closed. When opened, it resembles nothing like we've ever seen. If a real ET landed on earth, this is the gadget we would expect him to phone home with.

According to, the Chanel Choco phone works by integrating an optical fiber system that display image between two glass parts. There are 12 micro lighter fibers, that throw image components to the glass, that offer a quite good luminosity, and keep the mobile phone concept as light as possible. All lights only appear when you open the phone, by pushing removable part on the side of it. (Source)

I want to be the first on my block to own this one-of-a-kind phone. Still, without seeing the specs, I don't know if it's worth handing over my firstborn child for it.

That's a sick phone! Unfortunately your kind of late with this Sandra. The Kanye blog had this posted for a good minute now.

  • J Gats Juice

I hope Sprint offers this..... I'm about to call my man & tell him I found my birthday present

  • AaronMichael

What about functionality though? Can it take pics, video or anything? It looks nice and it's very different but would you really pay an arm and a leg for something that only calls people?

  • Bird

You never said how much it cost Sandra. Does anyone know? It is cute. When did Chanel get in the technology business? I hope they are partnering with some well known otherwise I wouldn't spend $10 on a phone from them. Especially not some beta version.

  • J Gats Juice

Damn u AaronMichael... how dare u make me think about stuff like that!!!

  • Bird

Do we all agree that an occasional jumpoff is ok? If it's ok, at what point after meeting a man is it acceptable to consider him a jumpoff only? Then how soon after meeting said jump off can you give him some?

  • Bsoul

I see many people utilizing their insurance...after dropping or banging this delicate phone a few times.

I'll pass and stick with my dinosaur of a phone. I'm having flashbacks of the iPhone madness.

  • kat

    @ bird
chile, give 'em some when you are ready! if it's the first day he come over, so be it! this is 2008, and ain't nobody paying your bills and your business is your business. if you want to be a jumpoff, a whore, a prostitute or ain't nobody's business but yours! like the saying go.....DO YOU BOO! :)

  • Bsoul

"if you want to be a jumpoff, a whore, a prostitute or whatever….it ain’t nobody’s business but yours! "

Funny that you grouped them all together. In my opinion (OKAY, MY OPINION) they are all somewhat synonymous.

  • Bird

Ok, so we are not in agreement that jumpoffs aka booty calls are ok. That's ok. I don't feel totally comfortable with it myself. I met a dude a couple of days ago and he has not invited me on a date, but wants to come over my house. To me that is a jumpoff. I don't want a jumpoff situation right out the gate, but it may come in handy down the line on a cold winter night. I'm just trying to figure out how to handle him.

  • J Gats Juice

@ Bird.... ok i know i'm gonna appear to be a whore, but whatever, i'm grown. I think if there's open communication (may it be phone calls or text messages) for a consecutive 72 hrs, its ok. Just protect urself. Do it at his place or a hotel, drive a friend's car, & have ur own condoms... And Have FUN!!!!!

  • J Gats Juice

Ok... Make him bring a movie & take out. Then put his ass out. Call him on that cold, winter night & buck his.... Let me stop. U get the idea :D

  • mrsgoodes

@ bird, girl he can be a jumpoff whenever u want it to be and that phone is nice but i'm with aaronmichael what does the phone do???

  • Krysi – yes the same one

    Ok here we go...

1st NEW PHONE = scary, TOO COOL!

Unfortunately, not for me, I drop phones on too many RUSHED occasions I would be infuriated with myself for wasting that much money. I'll stick with the sidekick slide for now.

2nd Jumpoff = ???....hmmmm welllllllll, I think its ok

but at least set a date, like for example: Susie meets Ray Ray at the gas station....Ray Ray is into real estate, Susie is SELF MADE.....Ray Ray and Susie would like to chill at Susies house and watch a movie....Susie feels like a jumpoff situation is upon her. Susie makes a personal promise to herself because Ray is supa FINE and PAID, to avoid temptation until March 1st. That way she can get to know Ray Ray a little better, find out if there is a "MAIN LADY/GIRLFRIEND/BABY MAMA LURKIng for DRAMA", and get the word on his actual occupation (you might want to avoid any aspiring rappers, if they do not go platinum after recieving a 1.5 million dollar advance that will pay for videos and other hiden expenses, he could go into debt and take you with him). Most of all Susie knows not to get her feelings involved, that way she and Ray Ray will see each other the same and if a better situation comes along Susie will not hesitate telling Ray Ray to FALLBACK.

    Does anyone agree?

  • AaronMichael

Damn ya'll are funny. From a males perspective I always like reading stuff like this cause it lets you know where females are coming from in all of this.

@Krysi...the Ray Ray & Susie a.k.a Shaniqua scenario is funny.

  • J Gats Juice

Krysi, I couldnt even finish readin the story!!! I am on the damn floor!!!! Ray ray and susie... Self made.... Thats as far as I got. Lemme try to finish without peein in my clothes!!! LMFAO & ROTFL

  • 2thick4u

    Cute much does it cost?!!!

Make sure that you are emotionally ready to have a man as a jumpoff.

Make sure that he understands that you are only using him for his dick.

Make sure that you enjoy every minute of it and you do things when you want to.

    You control the situation!!!

  • Krysi – yes the same one

@ I almost peed in my clothes typing the shyt! LMAO!!!

  • Krysi – yes the same one

  • Bird

Man I knew you dang youngins would come in handy! Great advice. I especially like Krysi's advice that I, I mean Susie wait until March 1st for the first encounter. Dude is super duper fine and I really like that in a jumpoff.

My advice is don't have mediocre dudes for jumpoffs. A jump off is supposed to be sexy to the extreme. The day I met him he asked to come over my house and the jumpoff alarm was blaring in my head. Not to mention that the Chrysler 300 he was driving was really shiny and new looking which made me think it was a rental. He may be broke. I'm old school so I expext a nigra to at least take me out for drinks if he is actually looking at me as a potential partner. To me this guy made it crystal clear that he wanted the booty. I will let him know that either we go to his house (he also claims to be a single parent) or he has to spring for a room when we do get together which ain't gonna be today or tomorrow as he has been requesting.

    Thanks Ladies.

  • Krysi – yes the same one

I knew it! Jumpoffs are usually supa fine, and sexy to the T! Why else would we respectful woman put our good girl reputation at risk....He was simply too much to handle and made the risk worth PENNY!....UMPH um um! I know how ya feel girl, but my method works and of course you should learn more details if you can, but those are the basics.

LOL! Maybe it's not his. Check the plates, nut just the numbers but the plate holder!

Bird, I'm only 28. Be honest, didn't you know what you wanted to do before you asked for our advice? whatever your choice, be careful. Nobody, seriously takes advice from us crazies.

  • Bsoul

I hate the fact that Sandra doesn't have a preview anymore. Recently, I've been making all kinds of mistakes.

  • Krysi – yes the same one

wait now....when i said RISK I ment the risk of our good REP, not risk as in NO CONDOM.

  • J Gats Juice

Krysi, we're here, we know!! LOL... Anyway, I say check the plates and the phone. Do a reverse search on yahoo. And make sure his body isnt sloppy. Nothin like havin a fine ass jump off with big nipples.... Yes, its happened to me before

  • Bird

I swear I didn't know. The fact is when I met him I was hoping we could date and see what happens and it threw me for a loop when he asked to come over my house right away knowing that I had children. It turned me off as it always does when a man wants to come to my house rather than invite me on a date, which they are doing with increasing frequency these days. I have been boycotting their trifling a$$es for a while, but mama need love too. His general foiness makes me want to give him some but his lack of chivalry makes me feel like he doesn't deserve it.

Oh my damn, that has happened to me before! Dude was a tall, fine a$$, brown eyed cutie who took me to dinner to a very expensive restaurant on the waterfront on our first date. Then when I finally went to his house he had incents and candles burning, he drew me a bubble bath with candles (the only time a man has done that in my life) and he had jazz playing at just the right volume. Sheer perfection. Man he took off his shirt and the man boobs plopped out. I was like what the hell?!?!?!?! I still gave him some though. ;)

  • J Gats Juice

"but mama need love too" - No she is not quoting Baby Boy!! LMAO... Honestly, if you feel like u deserve more than a late night "chill-fest" with someone who doesnt seem to be completely honest, I say hold out for a few weeks or so. Make him spend some money & show u his real intentions. Granted men will do just about for some new snatch, but at least u'll be able to walk away with something, even if it is just ur dignity

  • Krysi – yes the same one

    LMAO @ JGats....shut up!

  • J Gats Juice

Bird, u're better than me!!!! Dude took me to the keys and we stayed at an all inclusive resort. The second night, after we spent the afternoon shopping, he was ready to do the do... Well he rubbed and licked the right spots. Then he took his shirt off. Everything below his neck bounced. I got up and said let me freshen up real quick. Well, when I came out the bathroom (with the jacuzzi), i said u wont believe this but my per came on. I felt bad but i was disgusted!!!

  • Bsoul

    @ Bird
Mkay, I need some help understanding what you constitute as being a jumpoff. I've seen it used differently.

    What about you?

  • Krysi – yes the same one

LMFAO @ Bsoul...did you catch that one too!

  • Bsoul

    @Bird & Krysi
Yeah, I was under the impression that he, she (or both) had mates and this was a side piece thing.

From what she just said, it's not a jump-off situation. Now, my initial comment on this situation seems harsh, considering the circumstances. Sorry about that Bird.

But you still need to be careful. Forget about feeding the urge, make him wait! LOL!

  • ms.peaches

Damn you guys how we go from a phone to getting down with the jump offs (lmao) all I want to say is it's so amazing how we can come up with all these phone & technology but we still trying to cure these man made diseases wow what a thought!! I ain't even gonna lie I like the phone & may very well get it but I'm jus sayin let's think about the important stuff first cause as we all know we can't take a 600 or 700 dolla phone with us!!!

  • hellava10

How did I miss this post? Bird - there is nothing wrong with a maintenance man for a tune up...sometimes your tires need to be rotated...howsomuchever - it's easy to get caught up. Be careful girl and go with the gut. You can handle urges without having to cook breakfast in the morning.

Make him buy you this phone 1st.

  • hellava10

J Gats - you are headed for time out!

  • Minnie

    Very cute but totally superfluous!
Since we live in a society that material things are elementary, I’m positively sure that this model will vanish from stores in few seconds.

  • Bird

    Bird's definition of Jumpoff

A sexual encounter or relationship without committment and/or the people involved in said sexual encounter or relationship.

That being said, I really like all the advice. I have a feeling I won't get to see this guy again, which is cool. Men like him are a dime 5 dozen. I'll tell him where I stand and if he doesn't like it then he can kick rocks. Punk.

  • milly

    It looks prettyyyyy

  • ATLien

Wow...I want one too! But I'm still in love with my iphone! Decisions...Decisions...

Your business is your business...REMEBER you are only a whore when you tell your best friend..and she tells two friends, and they tell two friends, and so on and so on and so on.....

Now about the phone....I wouldn't buy a phone that cost over $100 unless i was expensing it back to my company...(then it's why not) In the still just dials, you still put it to your ear to speak and you will probally still be walkimg around talking about "can you hear me now?"

Slaves to fashion! and measuring sucess by some material item that someone tells you ALL the stars have ONE.

Make a phone: that knows who I want to talk to (living and deceased), will tell the person to hold while it walks over to me. Then when it becomes outdated, will go and replace it self with the newest and latest!...Now That's a phone
