What is the big deal about the friendly hug Rihanna gave Jay Z before pulling him onstage to accept her Grammy? That hug was an innocent one between a protege and her mentor. According to close associates, Jay Z is like a big brother to Rihanna. Give it up already! So what if she gave him a hug? As you can see from this video, he extended his arms to her and she gave him a hug because he was a big reason for her winning. But leave it to messy women to make something out of nothing.

I have to agree with Sandra on this one. People are making more out of this than it really is. Rihanna probably ain’t even looking twice at ole camel-looking a$$ Jay. That’s Beyonce’s ugly ass dude, not hers. People will make a big deal out of anything.

I don’t see the ”stank look” that everyone is talking about. Solo looked at Jay-z AND???? I didn’t see her look at Jay or Rhianna in a weird way.People get on their computers and create something that never happened.Why?

Dont this Video contridict your other POST doesnt seem like Beyonce or Solange even flicked and I watched it over and over and over I didnt see any of that BUT I think that Rhianna was just happy that she won and thats who won with her…it was so friendly get over it…

I agree with you ONE HUNDRED AND TEN PERCENT Sandra!! A lot of “messy women” (you know who you are) is right. I did not see anything wrong with the hug or pulling him on stage with her.

Everyone was excited it was her first Grammy for crying out loud leave the darn girl alone and let her bask in her glory! Dang!

There were no “stank” looks by Solange everyone was smiling and standing up clapping for her…it was a great moment for the girl and she was happy! He is her mentor and the reason for her success why shouldn’t she hug him?!?!? I see other celebs hugging their manager’s and other people in their camps when they win awards… so why can’t she?!?! Oh I forgot she is Rihanna and he is Jay-Z and they are suppose to be having this hot and heavy affair behind Beyonce’s back….Oh my bad!

Leave the girl alone. Enough already!

I only saw her pull J on stage and he was doing/playing the interpeter(she does have a accent). She only put her hand up to say “I got this”. It was cute to see. I only saw a little sister hand gesturing to a big brother, “I got it”. she did give him kudos. It was a nice moment. Not a hater of hers, but not really a fan. For fun she should come out with a new line of “umbrellas”. Rhi is a young woman with fun and fashion, why would she want J when she can anyone she wants. We all know that J is Bey’s man. I am sure that Bey also has been a mentor to Rhi. There is room for both of them, because there is also a age difference with both woman. Good for Amy Winehouse and Mr.West. To me it was a good Grammys (50th) awards show. Obama beat out Bill in a catagory I did not know existed. lol. Wanting so much for Obama to beat Bills wife tomorrow. Obama in 08 is not a bad thing. I have finally made up my mind. I did do my research on line and in my city/state and alot of tv watching. I like what I see with Obama. I am not voting for him because he is a man, not voting for him because he is black, not even voting for him because he is democrat. I am going to cast my primary vote for him because he is the best man for the job, no pun intended. Love both Bill and Hillary and bought and read both their books. Have not read Obamas book yet but what a great gift to give someone for Valetines Day. I will buy it for me. lol. Flowers die, a stuffed animanl, only gets put in the pact with all the stuffed animals in ones collection. Obamas book can be passed on from one person to another, who may be undecided or just want more. White girls love Obama like as though they are at a rock concert to hear him speak and see him in person. lol. Sorry, I was on a roll. watching tv (politics of course). Obama for 08. I do love one thing. That is being a Amercian and can vote with my convictions of my knowledge and being. Noone should cast a vote they are now willing to back up. Many ppl in countries that I can’t even pronounce get killed trying to vote each day. I do want my vote to count. I want to keep my house keep money in my wallet/bank account. I can’t tell anyone who to vote for. Just vote wisely for your circumstances. Take Care all and remember the high gas prices and the high interest rate and 4 years is a long time for our country to even out/bail out. Too many promise too much. I can’t afford “promises” anymore. I want action/results. Thanks for letting me express/vent. I do feel better just letting my opinion out.

Anyway, in examining the video, the hug was more of an excitement hug, I mean it was the girls first grammy (Congratulations). Also, I had been hearing a lot of people comment on the way Solange was looking at her when she hugged Jay z. I didn’t see anything suspect about that either, she didn’t look at her crazy or anything.

She tapped him in a playful push as they were leaving the stage because he was motioning for her to “hurry up and come on” with his head and his hand. The same way he was motioning her to hurry up after she made her statement about her father and he translated it for her. I found it rude. This was the girls first grammy and you are rushing her…I honestly think he was uncomfortable, as it seems he was, and he probably thought the media would make a big deal out of it (like they are) so he probably was thinking of the outcome the whole time up there.
