Update: The Game still in prison

UPDATE: Rapper The Game is still behind bars according to published reports. Apparently, The Game was transferred to another facility today due to personal safety and mental health concerns.

Earlier, TMZ.com reported the rapper was released from jail this morning. A California judge, citing “mental health concerns,” had ordered Jayceon Taylor released from jail after serving only 8 days of his 60-day bid.

The Game is serving out his 60 day sentence in an undisclosed California facility for assaulting a man and waving his iron in the air during a basketball game. His manager hopes the rapper will be released in time to record a new album to pay mounting bills. (Source)

I agree that you deserve to be punished within the confines of the law. In this case the law said he gets to go home, and people have a problem with that. The problem I have with people taking issue with his release, is the fact that theya ren’t upset about him not being punished adequately, they are upset because they don’t think he’s hard enough. That is mind blowing to me.

And, he did contest the charges, but when you have 1000 people swearing that they saw you do something, it’s kinda hard to fight it. That’s how he ended up with only 60 days in the first place.

What would be ironic is if he got out of jail for mental health concerns and got committed to a psych ward. Pick your poison. He’s going to have to switch to R&B – who wants to hear a soft core rapper?

So let me get this straight :
He was “hardcore” for pulling out a weapon as a means/threat to solve a disagreement BUT
not being able to withstand numerous rape, assault and extortion attempts makes him “soft” ?
Being able to stay in jail doesn’t make someone “hardcore”.
Being that he is a celebrity I’m certain he would have had much more to content with than the “average” prisoner. But he did commit a crime so I don’t see why they just didn’t confine him to the “hole” aka solitary; He did the crime he should have to do ALL the time.

Sandra lists Nahright as her source for this story, yet Nahright says abosolutely nothing about “mental health concerns”. I read the story earlier on T M Z and they didn’t mention it either. As a matter of fact S O H H is now reporting that Game is not even out. I don’t know how true that is. A week is about right. All the other celebs got out after serving a fraction of their sentences. Why shouldn’t he?

Being able to stay in jail doesn’t make you hard core, but man up and pay your dues. I’m not sure about the other posts but I was referring to the image that HE portrays as a ‘hard’ and yes I think it makes him a pansy if a “mental health” card was pulled to get him out. Is he at the house? How is his mental health issue being treated? If you read up on some history, his is pretty lengthy from a b-ball scholarship to selling, etc. “Tyrone” and “Eightball” can’t pull the mental health issue and go chill at the house for the same charge.

I do not know about anyone else, but I am tired of these celebrities pulling “dumb stunts” to get themselves into these situations and wasting our tax dollars. Whether they are trying to keep up an image or not the same rules should apply. I say start making them pay the system back when they are at fault, celebrity or not…. Lord knows I work for the government and between this war and all this rise in crime I forsee my next raise being smaller than last year. Can I sister get some love…..

I remember seeing this story being reported 1st on TMZ. They followed The Game and his entourage to the facility where the The Game was going to turn himself in. The Game was bragging about how he wasn’t afraid to turn himself in, not afraid to stay in prison, and how he has been to prison numerous of times. Then he mention something like, “I’ma go in here do these 6 yrs or either 6 months…” and one of the paparazzi guys busted him out asking, “I thought u had to do 60 days?” The Game response was,”Alright, 60 days or months, whatever, I’ll be out in no time.” O, I thought that shit was hilarious.

I don’t know if he did it or not, but Game does have a history of poppin off, so I don’t put it past him. And, as far as his mental health issues go, we all thought Mike Tyson was crazy when he tattooed his face right? Well the Game has done it like 3 times already!!! I would say mentally dude def. has issues. He use to be a stripper for crying out loud!!!
