It took 6 years to bring singer and child molester R. Kelly to justice. But now a juror wants to derail the trial by requesting to go home.
On Thursday, the case went to a Chicago jury for deliberations. One juror – I bet he or she was black – sent a note to the judge after less than an hour of deliberating.
The note said, “I can’t take it anymore. How can I be removed and go home? I really need to.”
This happens very rarely in a case of this magnitude – which begs the question: did a juror get paid off to cause a mistrial? Why did the juror wait until the middle of deliberations to ask to be removed from the jury?
