The prosecution’s star witness in the R. Kelly trial may finally get to testify today. Lisa Van Allen’s testimony was scheduled for last Wednesday, but was delayed when the defense flew in her ex-boyfriend to refute her testimony.

Allen is expected to take the stand today to tell the jury about a videotaped three-way sexual encounter between herself, Kelly and a woman who was 13-years-old at the time.

“She’s important because she could add a lot to the prosecution’s case if she testifies. She’s the only witness who could put R. Kelly and the 13-year-old together having sex. It adds to the videotape, to show that the videotape is credible, that it’s reliable,” said CBS 2 Legal Analyst Irv Miller. (Source)
