Throwback Mondays: Scarface ft. Devin The Dude – Sex Faces

I watched this video over the weekend and I got caught up in the memories of how rap used to be. Scarface, the real King of the South, showin’ out with Devin The Dude, Too Short and Tela! I couldn’t get enough of this track when it first came out.

I don’t think I have ever heard the song. Then again, I am no Scarface fan and really don’t care for slow jam raps. The video is decent though from what I saw. I admit I didn’t watch much of it. I REALLY hate slow rap songs. I need base in my face.

SANDRA!!! this was my JAM!!! im still in love with this song is Devin is the most slept on artist from the south (houston) i do miss “old school” rap. This takes me back to the summer of 98..the good old days..fresh out of high school..not having a clue or a care in the world..

Never heard this song but it sounds real chill. I love Scarface and he is DEFINITELY one of the kings of the south & this rap game!

Thank you for starting my Monday off right! I can remember the majority* of the lyrics of this song after 10 years. I bet I won’t remember 99% of the lyrics let alone song title/artist to what is out there now in 3 years.

*I have a horrible memory which should serve as a testament to the greatness of this song and artists.

Although this isn’t one of my favorite Scarface songs, I still love it. And Devin? Man! I love me some Devin!! He’s the most slept on — and most entertaining — Houston rapper. One of my favorite Devin songs is sick sick sick (like, morbid), but he can say whatever and it sounds ok. Check out “Just Because”. He goes OFF in “Just Because”. LOL

Right now, I am loving Scarface’s “Get the FK out my Face”. I have it on repeat in my cd player.

It really doesn’t get any better than Scarface and Devin! Tela dropped off sometime ago.

This song brings back memories of when me and my girls used to go skating every Friday. Those were the good old days. They actually played this at my 10 year high school reunion last month and everybody jumped up and headed to the dance floor

Do you mean Fcuk Faces? The words to the song was so trifling, it made me so sick to my stomach… But the arrangements were so on point!

But it is a college classic…lol… I remember my girlfriends and I would play drinking games (listening to this song) and then go to a college party tore up!

Man, this truly is a throwback.
I must admit, I do have it on my iPod. lol…

You were on point with this video for me this morning. I was telling my boyfriend about a week ago that I wanted to hear the scareface song featuring 2 short but I never knew the title of the song. I just loved the song when I heard it playing. He couldn’t recall it either. Now I know the title and I’m going to get that song on a mix cd made. This song still sounds good to me to this day. Radio stations need to play throwback day songs for the younger generation more and if their feeling a particular song they will REQUEST,REQUEST & REQUEST the songs and it could be put back on the map again even if they are old. YEAH!!!!
