Recently I found myself flush with cash (hi JD!), so I decided to splurge on the white Louis Vuitton Damier canvas print backpack that Kanye West is wearing in the photo. It goes against my nature to be wasteful, but I just had to have that backpack. Plus, my photographer Freddy O said I deserved it.
Yesterday, Fred went to the LV store at Lenox mall to see if they had the backpack in stock. He called me from the store once he got there and this is what he was told: The backpack is custom made for Knaye West who ordered every piece of LV luggage in that color.
The backpack is available to the public by custom order only. To place an order, you are required to pay half of the $15,000 cost up front. The backpack ships directly from Rome, Italy and takes 8 months to make.
$15,000??? 
Even if I had $15,000 I wouldn’t spend it on a backpack! But hopefully Knaye will be in my neck of the woods soon wearing that backpack. I hear he doesn’t travel with bodyguards…

For the record, I bought 2 very similar LV bags from China and you’d have to be a LV expert to tell the difference from the real ones. Price: $180 per bag and they the BOMB! Only po, ignorant black folks fronting would pay such a price for a bag, any bag. Hip/hop/rap entertainers need to realize that during these hard, economic times, they should be saving or investing er dime they make ’cause times are just gonna get harder. (Is this bag gone pay yo rent or feed all those chillen you’re having?) As always, I leave you in peace.

No. I personally wouldn’t and I am a designer bag addict. I have a limit to how much I will spend on a designer bag at my current income level. (and my hubby’s)
Some people cannot even afford an authentic bag, so I feel very fortunate to be able to spend $2,000-$4,000 on a designer bag. For those who can purchase the bag, that’s what’s up.
