These people have been in line since the 29th waiting to buy a pair of Air Questo’s – designed by ?uestlove of the Roots that went on sale today at only 3 retailers in the country.
I’m glad I don’t have children because I’d probably be locked up right now. I wish any son of mine would tell me he stood in line for 3 days to drop a couple hundred dollars on some ugly shoes!
We need to instill proper values in our children because this is ridiculous! We also should be teaching our children the value of having good credit. This is a serious problem in our community. There is an entire cottage industry of companies preying on blacks with poor credit because they know we are not credit-savvy. You could have $2 in your pocket, but if you have good credit, you are rich.
i see a bunch of races camped out for those ugly shoes
This is what makes me so mad with people. They will spend all of this money on clothes, shoes, and cars, but be living in a ragedy apartment with no money saved. Some of these same people will not stand in line for three minutes to vote, get a job, or for an important cause. Also those shoes are very ugly.
I would rock’em – if somebody else purchased them for me.
On another note, I tell my child EVERYDAY, there are two things that you must have in life, that NOBODY can take away from you and that is:
Education and GOOD CREDIT
With that, you have the world at your fingertips!
Oh hell nah. That is a nasty looking area to be camping out in for some bootlegged looking Nikes. They sell fake Nike’s in asian stores in my area like those for $35.
so what, what’s the big deal…everyone that stands in line for the latest “whatever fad/trend” isn’t “black”, “broke”, or have “bad” credit…you shouldn’t make these types of generalizations…
this is what is wrong with our society. so much is based on materialistic possessions.
Good credit is a must! I learned the hard way (7 years later, I got a fresh start) but my daughter won’t have to. Especially with her penny pinching ass daddy!
Thanks bloggergirlz…what does anybody know about anybody else’s financial situation? How do we know that these people can’t afford to splurge on a pair of sneaks. Would this even be a topic if this was a mainly white group of folks camped out for a new IPhone?
Are you serious? Sandra, are you serious??? Every darn day you got some little tidbit about what Monica or Rhianna or Tiny is wearing and how much it cost!! You were even talking about buying the darn LV bag that Kanye was rocking until you saw the price. Then you have the nerve to go blasting people for sitting in line to buy some shoes (albeit ugly ones) and preach about good credit. HYPOCRITE! Seems to me like you, my dear, are a part of the problem. I don’t see you bashing these celebs for the amount of money they spend or the ridiculousness thay lavish on ther kids (we won’t even talk about Monica and Lil’ Rocko!!) What are you going to say? They can afford it! Yeah, right. You and I both know that there is a difference between being rich and being wealthy. This is “right now” money. Hood rich, doesn’t count.
” We need to instill proper values in our children because this is ridiculous! We also should be teaching our children the value of having good credit.”
And please, my dear, tell your loyal readers what you’re doing to reach out to the next generation…’cuz I don’t see it posted here. I would be laughing if it wasn’t so pathetic.
I guess you are only saying this because you think the shoes are ugly. You bombard us with blogs on the expensive labels celebs and former celebs wear almost daily. I don’t know why. How many of your readers can afford to pay $2000 for a purse?
damn they are ugly. i have never got it standing in lines for phones, shoes, and stuff is it really that important?

That’s the problem. Some will stand in line for material things but won’t take the time to register to vote. The lines to vote should be longer then the lines to be first to get the latest gadget.
@ Anna … I SO agree .. they need to place Voter registration forms with High School Diploma’s … i’ve taken my son with me EVERYTIME I voted since he was born … he is now 15 and asks me who I’m voting for and why and REMINDS me to go and vote … lol
But I don’t wear Louis Vuitton.Sad thing is normal people will by that shit because of what they see on TV and can’t afford it because they act like the celebrities actually bought it.They getting it for FREE unless you rich in society, but celebrities aren’t paying a damn thing for it.
