Bernie Mac’s friends and fellow comedians Cedric The Entertainer and DL Hughley paid tribute to B Mac on Larry King Live last night. It was a fitting sendoff for one of the greatest comedians who ever lived. Ceddy and DL remembered the good times during the successful “Kings of Comedy” tour.
Oh, and Steve Harvey listened in from a studio in Atlanta. He tried his best to act like he really cared, but he was so transparent in his expressions. An uncomfortable hush fell over the studio when Harvey tried to get a few laughs in. When King asked Harvey if he visited B Mac in the hospital, Harvey responded that he had just arrived in Chicago the morning Mac died. He claimed he was “at the hotel eating breakfast” as if to suggest that he was on his way to the hospital to visit Bernie but didn’t make it in time.
But wasn’t B Mac in the hospital for at least three weeks?
Jeremy Suarez who played Mac’s homosexual nephew on the Bernie Mac Show, also paid tribute to the great comedian along with the other cast members, Kellita Smith, Camille Winbush and Dee Dee Davis.
Good Morning! Fam!
damn, its too early for all this HATE, I have a suggestion if you feel this badly distastful about Steve Hervey just call him up and express your feelings you know let out some steam.
wow I didn’t even recognize that little four eyed punk who is now a handsome young man!
Steve stated he was in Chicago for the Bud Billiken parade when Rev. Al Sharpton told him about the passing of Bernie as he was eating breakfast.
the THREE of them stated that they thought they had More time to visit Bernie in the Hospital .. They ALL spoke about how INTENSLY private Mac was and they respected that.
God has some Serious plans for Steve just based on the Hate he recieves from all these different places …No blogger in the World can stop the Plans God has for Him and anyone else.
I was a STAN of ALL four or the Kings …
The hush fell over the STUDIO audience throught the show as there was NO canned laughter and Larry king IS the Walking Dead
Bernie Mac WILL BE MISSED
It was a GREAT Tribute
Morn mizzDallas … and AMEN … !!!
It is really disturbing that you are using this man’s untimely death to stir up some posthumous beef. Let it go, Sandra.
damn!! damn!! damn!!!
I can’t believe this now that bernie mac has passed away you all what to start drama, leave Steve alone, and lets pray for Bernie and his family
I watched Larry King last night and it was a nice show. When you started feeling sad one of them would say something funny or a clip would be shown, showing just how funny Bernie was.
That boy done grown up! “Uncle Bernie, Uncle Bernie!” Lol that’s all I can remember that lil boy as.He isn’t a homo though, but if you said he played it on the show I would disagree with that also.
I don’t understand all the comments about stirring up mess…what Steve Harvey did was low down, and it IS timely to bring up that fact, especially since it seems as though HE’S being the spokesperson for the Black comedians regarding Bernie’s death…
If you don’t want to be perceived as being shady as hell…THEN DON’T BE SHADY!!!
Sandra, whatever he did or said to u was years ago (Judging from how u are, I would say that his reaction was the correct one). Let it go… Steve Harvey is happy & married while u’re constantly being negative & spiteful…. U’ll find out when u let stuff go, u become a happier person.
Concentrate on the death of a great comedian & not some make believe beef that he had with someone. He was a grown ass man, not some teeny bopper making youtube videos. I doubt he was focused on foolishness. Geez… When Aaliyah died, did u talk about Dame Dash cheating on her or were u focused on HER talent?
@ Lala, I dont think he’s being the spokesperson. He has a radio show and probably was the easiest to contact. He’s based in New York, as is Larry King. Ced & DL are probably on tour or something and couldnt make it to the show. Ok, they wanted the same part to a movie. I doubt the story that Sandra told is the whole story. Especially since publicists dont find roles for their clients, agents do
@ Sharonda…I missed her referencing him as a homo until your comment.
That little boy was not gay just frail. My little brother was just like him growing up. Bad as all demons in hel!, wore the same eye glass frames as my older uncle, and super super frail. As an adult, he is no where near gay or on the dl but just a s!ut puppy. If you are in Jacksonville, FL…beware of him.
Somebody get this chile on some meds ASAP!! Jeremy Suarez did not play a “homosexual” nephew!! He played the nephew!!! Nowhere in the script did his sexual preference surface, WTF are you talking about?! I think you just be making stuff up for controversary . . .girl, all that stuff you putting out in the universe is going to come back to you . . just blantantly lying and stirring up nonsense — KARMA IS A MUTHA!!!
He wasn’t HOMOSEXUAL??? I watched the show several times- & it was not like that at all!
Steve is the new Beyonce….It’s just awkward that this is being done in the midst of Bernies passing. I wish you would have took ur anger out on him using something else as fuel. Bernie was in the hospital for exactly 1 week. Not three weeks. And his nephew on the show was not homosexual. In fact Bernie spoke about how his portrayal of his real life homosexual nephew in his routine hurt his nephew. Which is why he changed the character up for the show…
I don’t think his nephew was homosexual on the show, he was just young and sometimes I think he needed Ritalin (lol). I’m not speaking bad about him now or anything, but when I watched the special last night and saw his mannerisms and speech now, I did think he was gay also. I think Sandra is referring to how he was on the special last night. As for the Steve Harvey thing, move on Sandra.
I think that is the point @ Brenden. Okay he may or may not have been underhanded, but MAC is dead and we need to focus on that and not Steve’s alleged grimyness (making up my own words)
I made a comment about letting things go yesterday. However, I have to admit that it did seem apparent that Steve Harvey wasn’t very close to Mr. Mac. He couldn’t even say the last time that he had spoken to him. Not only that, but it didn’t seem as if he had any connection w/the other 2 comics.
I’m sure that there was a bit of jealousy there, b/c Mr. Mac seemed to end up being more successful out of the 4 of them. Either way, I’m going to continue to enjoy the movies and comic routines that he gave us.
now is not the time to use bernie’s death as a stepping stone to bash steve harvey. again, whatever really happened between the two of them only he knows now. so, speculation and all of that is irrelevant at this point. however he feels or felt about bernie he was man enough to show up and speak highly of him. regardless, if he’s a liar etc….he has to live with that for the rest of his life. let bernie have his time…let his humor and laughter live on in a positive way please!
fyi: the newphew was not a homosexual. sandra pls stop talking about children…it’s not cool…
I didn’t get a chance to see the show. Anyone know if there is video available?
I MISSED IT
HOPEFULLY SOMEONE WILL HAVE SOME CLIPS. DO THEY SHOW LARRY KING RE-RUNS?
Sandra, what does being homosexual have to do with paying tribute to a comic legend??? Nothing at all.
Your negative thoughts at a time when people are grieving amaze me. None of this will comfort the family of Bernie Mac. None of this will contribute donations to the Bernie Mac Foundation for Sarcoidosis. If indeed Steve Harvey is actin shady, then guess what?? Karma will take care of that because you must know that you cant go around treating people a certain way and not expect for it to come back to you.
But I dont know Steve Harvey personally so I cannot speak on “hearsay” or things that I dont know. What I do know is RIP to Bernie and my prayers are with the family and friends at this time.
Sandra how do you know that Bernie and Steve had beef at the time of his death? As you and the rest of the world knows, Steve changed his life and got saved, maybe you should do the same. You are a spiteful mean spirited individual. All of your posts about Bernie seem to focus on an old beef. Get over it and celebrate the life of Bernie Mac just like Steve and the rest of the world are doing. This man has passed on, no need to stir up controversy just because Steve Harvey hurt your little feelings years ago……Furthermore, Jeremy AKA Jordan, did not play a homosexual on the show, Bernie referred to his nephew as a homosexual in one of his jokes on the Kings of Comedy. Get your facts straight.
Hey everybody…
Paste this link in your browser and you should be able to see the CNN clip on Bernie…I can be computer illiterate at times so I hope it works!

Ya’ll don’t remember the ribbon dancing they had that boy doing (in some damn tights)? And it was a regular topic for Bernie Mack to question his nephew’s sexuality and TRY to get him to do more “manly” things (football, etc…) but the little one wasn’t having it. It was a character people!!! He may have not been outright “homosexual” (he was to damn young to be doing the do, but he had girly ways about him!
At the end of the day, Bernie Mac had a wonderful show. R.I.P!
I mean dang…maybe he was in the hospital for three weeks…does that mean they had to be by his side 24/7?

Let the Church say Amen!
I thought it was a great show and I almost missed it. I turn the tube and it was about 10 minutes into the show. I had to hold back tears watching the clips and you can tell it was hard for his castmates to see those clips. I loved that movie Guess who? and it was sad to hear Ashton talk about how he had to breath through the ventilator between takes. You could never tell he was sick in that movie, although he did appear to look a little dark and worn. Whatever beef Steve and him had, has nothing to do with genuinely beign sad for his passing.
My gf and I had been friends throughout college. We fell out over some craziness and were no longer speaking. Her life ended because she was shot and it hurt so bad. I didn’t feel any guilt about our disagreements, I felt saddness because of the times we shared and what we meant to each other at one point in our lives!!! I miss her today!
I read or more so scanned an article regarding this aleged beef according to BM’s bio, he stated that when the Kings were on the road making the movie, they should have been considered equals. However Mr. Harvery soon began acting as if the show was exclusively HIS and his peers were there to be supporting performers. I understand there are a few things about SH in his book. BUT, I also read that this was squashed years ago and that they were no longer estranged as friends.
I think back to the cilp in the King of Comedy, when Bernie was fussing about how he didn’t have his won show. It is amazing how far he came and how successful he was. Just goes to show if you believe it , you can achieve it! Ocean Eleven and Charlie Angels was very big for Bernie!
I think Sandra is refering to *smack* Some Milk and Cookiesssss! LOL! But that little boy didn’t play no homosexshul (tee-hee) on that TV show, Sandra, you need to stop. As far as Steve Harvey, I can’t stand that mutha*****! I put him and J. Anthony Brown in the same category – Country and Lame!
Sandra please clear things up for the fam..In the Kings of Comedy Bernie talked about his homosexual nephew in which the nephew was hurt and refused to talk to Bernie for a long time..by the time his show came out which was patterned after his family..he changed the nephew from gay to sickly..end of story..as for Steve and if he’s transparent or not..if it’s fake KARMA will raise it’s head on him..let it go
As a human being we have compassion for people, even if you fight with family and friends and don’t talk for awhile. I believe when someone passes, you still feel sad and hurt maybe wishing all the things you could have said and didn’t. RIP I’m the Baby Pappy.
She’s saying homosexual nephew based on Bernie’s bit about his neices & nephews he was raising because his sister was a crackhead. In the bit, the nephew is gay, remember he wanted some milk & coooooooookies LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jeremy is a cutie though
I was watching the Bernie Mac show re-runs last night and got all teary eyed.
Bernie was so funny on that PUNKED show. He is just to cool to really get PUNKED.
I’m the Baby Pappy.
That makes me laugh so hard everytime.
Sandra, you need to a Bernie Mac tribute post and have everyone put up their favorite Bernie Mac jokes
Steve IS a low-life SNAKE (Real Talk Here) but that doesn’t change the FACT that Bernie was the complete-opposite as THIS Coon-AZZ Nicca and UNLIKE Steve… Bernie was a true genius and well-respected among his peers-n-admirers!!!
Bernie’s a Home-BOY and he will ALWAYS BE LOVED…
SOUTHSIDE !!!!! (Chi-town for Life People)
Wow that little boy grew up to be cute. Good for him!!
I don’t think the boy played a homo Ms. Rose…

If you are familiar with Mac’s stand up routine “My Sister’s Kids” – which the show was based on – then you’ll know what I’m talking about.
Watching the show yesterday, one could clearly see the grief in D.L., Ced and Ashton Kutcher, as well as the cast of Bernie’s show. For whatever reason Steve was able to handle his grief better it does not matter. We lost another icon, another leader, another role model. Someone else lost a son, nephew, grandson, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend. Pain is pain and grief is grief, one thing for certain, it hurts. The saddest thing is that this back and forth bickering over Steve is taking place over what matters most, remembering The Mac Man. If we remember him for what he gave, there will be no time to focus on the Steve Harvey issue. Steve’s matter is between him and God, let’s leave it between them. If anyone thinks his actions are petty, then stooping to his level will not help anyone.
